A jumble of hops on the palate, but not really the burst that I was expecting from the blurb on the label. A pleasant enough beer, but it didn’t set my world on fire.

Bottle courtesy of dad I believe, consumed at home Wednesday 22nd March 2017, another non beer night when I naughtily drinking a beer. Clear, crystal clear gold in fact it looks very lager/pilsner like in appearance. Taste is ok, a little sourness at the edges, some tangy fruit skins. Citrussy aroma, it’s fine but not really that IPA’ish’. A6 A5 T6 P3 Ov12. 3.2

330ml bottle. Pours a light, cloudy golden orange with a crazy off white head ! Took me a while to pour the bottle( it may have got shaken up on route to my fridge) Bottle conditioned. Nose is sweet caramel and big concentrated orange kick, with some tropical fruits going on, pineapple and apricot. Medium mouth feel, lightly carbonated giving you the caramel malts first leading into the orange, mandarin cordial and some peach and apricot too. Get a wee bit of a spice kick too, almost like cinnamon or clove. Has a decent hop bitterness on the back end that has me reaching for another taste ! Wicked stuff.

Gravity Cask Half Pint at Craft 100 Festival at Craft Beer Co, Clapham, London in Sept 2014 - Orangey Gold in colour. OK lacing. Hoppy; piney hop; good hop bite. Fruity; citrus grapefruit and orange. Malty; toasty malts, caramel. Bitter hoppy fruity throughout. Lingering bitter hoppy finish. Very drinkable. (2014-9-18)

Golden colour with thin head. Aroma has lots of floral hop notes and light tropical fruit. Flavour is similar but slightly less intense. Moderately bitter finish. Good stuff.

dchad56 (500) - - DEC 10, 2016
Bottle - clear light amber, small carbonation, small white head. Good orange tangy aroma. Ting on tongue and in mouth, overall a bit fizzy - orange quash beer - not brilliant.
