Bottle from Open All Hours in Keswick. Pours golden with a frothy white head. Grassy citrus aroma. The taste is lemony citrus and spice with a slightly unpleasant stale bread yeast flavour that lingers. Not great.

Bottled, 330ml from Tebay Services, Orton, Cumbria. Gold with white head. There is the aroma of soggy cigarette ash and this follows on into the flavour alongside a smoked tea like note. There is a fruity, yeasty character. The whole is a very strange concoction which I hope is not repeated.

Bottle @ home. Clear golden color, average sized white head. Aroma is malts, lightly hops and something a bit odd. Taste lightly malts, lightly hops, lightly smoke and a hint of peat with a soft bitter finish. Average body and carbonation. Interesting beer but I dont really like it.

This golden ale has a bit more bite than your average one. Clearly more hops and yeast. The aftertaste is much to be desired, old veg. I would suggest drinking this with some Indian food as Im sure turmeric would work well with the flavour.

Bottle at home from hardknott online
Slightly hazy golden blonde with offwhite lacing and steady stream of fine bubbles. Dusty grains flinty nose. Quite dry, astringent, thin, slightly phenolic. Grainy, slightly smoky and bland.

edsspoon (891) - Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - OCT 20, 2014
Bottle - golden with a decent fizzy white head which fades to a ring. Weak lacing. Aroma of malts, a little dust and roasted malt, some slight fruity notes. Taste of earth, smoke and roasted malt. Some orange and apple. Light body, high carbonation. It quickly becomes apparent that this beer actually tastes like a used ash tray - very unpleasant.

RichardW (1813) - Carlisle, Cumbria, ENGLAND - SEP 6, 2014
Bottled from Tebay services. A lively pale yellow beer, with a foaming white head. Corn and maize aroma, in a lager style, but it has a smoky background taste and a yeastiness that becomes stronger as you progress. Seems to fall between different styles, not sure what it is really!

33cl bottle from Tebay services, M6. Pale amber with a white head and lots of carbonation; floral, Belgian yeast, aroma; grainy body at first, then a hit of rauch bier style smoke - hopefully thats what was intended - certainly an odd combination, and not one Id look out for again.

POLK (2219) - Hrning, DENMARK - JUL 20, 2014
Strange thin English blonde with bitter citrus flavor with notes of ashes. Easy grounded.
