Bottle conditioned. Has been seen in cask.
This IPA is not particularly Pale. In fact its a deep ruby red. Based on a modern American style beer from Oregon using Cascade and Centennial hops in appropriate proportions, for bittering, aroma and dry hopping balanced with a strong Crystal malt backbone.

Bottle from Sainsburys. Was really looking forward to this, so imagine my disappointment when I opened the bottle (after a long, shitty day at work!) and the contents erupted all over the kitchen worktop, floor and sink. Ive been left with a centimetre of headless murky amber beer, with loads of "floaters", cant say Im looking forward to this! Certainly smells ok, well hopped! This is also the case on the palate, the 6.2% is also noticable. Quite nice, shame about the disastrous start. Theres nothing on the label to suggest this is bottle conditioned, and it doesnt seem to be infected as the "floaters" have now all sunk to the bottom, so I guess this was one of the last bottles out of the vat! Nice beer, but not impressed! ...... a couple of hours later and Ive just been on the brewery website and it IS bottle conditioned, they just dont say it on the label!! .......Ive just re-read the description above and the first line says "bottle conditioned" !!! Well Done Gavin!!

330ml bottle. Rich amber on colour with a fine, pale yellow head. Faint aroma of bitter juniper and citrus hops. Bitter flavour, almost drowning in dry sawdust with a touch of hops. Definite bitter aftertaste at the back of the palate. Slight burnt toast.

Butelka 330ml. Ciemny mahoniowy kolor (sic!). Piana biala mala szybko opadajaca. W zapachu karmel potem szyszki i cytrusy. W smaku podobnie duzo karmelu i ciastek . Dziwne...
