social club, birmingham. Dark brown beer with medium head. Aroma of caramel and dark malts. Taste is caramel, sweet malts and dark malts. Ok beer.
Very dark with a creamy head. Crisp with a very mild character and the slightest of malt roasts. Theydon_Bois (20602) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAR 8, 2013
Tap at the Raglan Arms, Rugby, 06/03/13 as ’Dark Smooth Extra Cold’.
Extremely dark mahogony brown with a decent beige head that retains well.
Nose is very thin on aroma - caramel, cereal, biscuit, dull !
Taste proffers little more, dark malt, light toffee, cardboard, touch of cereals and biscuit.
Medium bodied, smooth on the palate.
Looks and feels the part but doesn’t hold up anywhere else.
Not one to venture back to! BlackHaddock (7672) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - SEP 24, 2012
Keg pint in The Memorial Club, Shifnal on 21 Sep 2012.
Poured too cold it gave off no aroma what so ever: as it warmed the dark brown beer with it’s creamy head began to release a few hints of roasted maltiness and dry roasted peanuts (without the salt).
Smooth enough and with plenty of Mild traits (malty with a weak hop bitterness), would have preferred it to have been in cask form but I enjoyed this keg version to be honest.

On tap Hartsholme Cricket Club, Lincoln - Not the best mild you’ll ever have, not that I’m a big fan, but welcome nonetheless in a bit of a beer dessert.

Keg, at The Carnarvon Arms, Teversall, Nottinghamshire, 17.09.10 Poured looking every inch a pint of Guinness and it was freezing cold. Taste was mostly not much as it was so cold but three quarters of the way down there was a slight maltiness and nuttiness showing, not much else. I only tried it as the choices was Old Speckled Hen, GK IPA (served either northern style or southern style) or Abbot. Keg at The Sailors Home, Kessingland, Suffolk. Dark brown with short head. Initial CO2 buzz but soon flat, really flat. Cardboard, some fruitiness, some chemical notes. Caramel, burnt sugars in the close. Dubious. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - NOV 27, 2009
Keg Handpump at the Railway, Buxton 21/11/2009 (As Dark Smooth Extra Cold)
Some roast aroma. Creamy head. Dark coloured and smooth on the palate with a hint of liquorice in a fruity and slightly bitter roast finish.
