tommann (3974) - Dudley, West Midlands, ENGLAND - JAN 24, 2014
Keg at Baggeridge Social Club, Gornal. Pours dark brown with a large head. Aroma is vanilla and caramel. Taste is toffee to start. Caramel vanilla finish.

Spoons Fest.Clear amber beer. Pretty well balanced in it’s dullness. Dry malt, hops more bitter than fruit. Typical English bitter. Lingering bitter aftertaste. Hard to be offended but just dull.

tombyars (1776) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - JAN 4, 2012
First tasted this somewhere in Nottinghamshire in June 1990. Cask, handpump dispense. Jet black in colour with ruby highlights and a thin creamy buff head. Strong roast malt in the long aroma. Thin but creamy mouthfeel and good lacing. Dark malt base gives a robust roast coffee, treacle fudge and bitter chocolate notes. Bitter hop resins give a dusty dry aftertaste. Finish is malty with juicy berry notes. A decent session mild and full of flavour considering the low ABV.

berkshirejohn (6687) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 20, 2007
Cask at the Hay Inn, Shirland, Derbyshire. An appealling deep cherry red colour with a cream head; little aroma; but a fruity taste with cherries too; a clean light dry finish with a touch of biscuit.

Nekronos (4175) - Xalapa, MEXICO - JUL 7, 2006
NOt that bitter and it was well brewed, very creamy is this brewery’s beers but I like that in these. Very good foam.

DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - JUL 4, 2006
Cask Stillage at Edgeley Park, Stockport 02/06/2006
Slight roast aroma. Dark coloured smooth and slightly rich on the palate. Fruity with some bitterness and dryness in a malt finish.

Mads Langtved (2240) - Copenhagen K, DENMARK - NOV 25, 2005
Cask condioned, GBBF 2005:
Reddish appearance. Very sweet and malty. It’s maybe a bit thin, but still pretty nice.

Ungstrup (38591) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 20, 2005
[Cask at GBBF 2004] A deep red-brown beer with a small disappearing head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, licorice, roasted malt, as well as hints of metal, and with a dry end.

DeepBlack (386) - Derby, Derbyshire, ENGLAND - FEB 20, 2005
Cask conditioned and on Handpump at the Derby CAMRA winter beer festival on 09/02/05.

Dark ruby brown colour.

Very nice, very drinkable, Sublty malty. Very full despite only being 3.1%

ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 14, 2005
(Cask-conditioned at Akkurat, Stockholm) Clear dark brown with reddish hints. One inch tall creamy tan head. Vague malty aroma with milky undertones. Malty soft flavour of plums, and dark chocolate. Watery body. Light malty finish. No hops.
