[email protected] Lord Moon Of The Mall, Trafalgar Square, London. A pretty dull bitter it has to be said, not really an old ale, didn’t pick up too much different about it. Thin, grainy, some hop bitterness, watery, not much happening.

Cask at Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem, Nottingham. Chestnut brown body, very thin white head. Musty hedgerow aroma with some sweaty sweetness. Flavour of bubblegum fruits held in check by malty cream, slightly sour in the finish.

Cask Conditioned at The Old Trip to Jerusalem, Nottingham. Chestnut brown with a slight head. Malty sweet, yeasy beer, with a powdery dryness. Develops a sharp bitterness in the finish with a sulphery nose.

leaparsons (10044) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAR 11, 2003
A dark red-brown beer with a small off white head. Aromas are sweet and malty. This is almost alt-like in its dryness and bitterness. Licourice notes complete this unusual bitter.

Sampled cask conditioned. Chestnut brown. Very fruity, medium bodied, mild. Some apple aroma. A rather uneventful, but flawless cask ale.
