UPDATED: DEC 17, 2017 A pint in the Catcher in the Rye, Finchley. Just the right ballance of spice and bitternes, sometimes a problem for me with the christmas ales but the rocking rudolf does it just right and you get a nice taste, all around for only 4.2%.

Cask (handpump) @Wig and Pen, Oxford [24/11/17]. Clear amberbrown, small but steady beige head, heavy lacing; aroma roasted malts, caramel, rye, dark bread; taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, toffee, dark bread; sweetbitter aftertaste, light spicy and raisin notes; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation; decent but not that special.

Dark Amber ale, woody, bitter & slightly tangy back.
Not much "Christmas" in this

Cokemonkey11 (1107) - - DEC 26, 2016
Pint, Shakespeare’s. Pours translucent brown ale with a white head. Scent is minimal, soapy ale. Taste is decent pale ale malts with a bit of soap and some decent Amber malt. Fine.

mabuzzer (925) - Hamilton, SCOTLAND - DEC 24, 2016
Cask in The Blue Pig, Grantham. Nutty brown with a thin, bubbly head. Sweet, slightly spicy aroma. Soft fruit, Christmas spice flavour. Thin body. Ok

erickok (6036) - Leuven, BELGIUM - DEC 22, 2016
Copper, classic looks. Sweet resin, woody, simple brown malts. Quite sweet with a light spice. Watery body but it’s not devoid of all flavour. Could be worse. (Pint at The Green Dragon Cambridge)
