500ml bottle kindly shared by Finn. Good looking with a deep copper coloured body under a remaining, off-white head. Spotty lacing. Dark caramel-fruity aroma. Fine blended taste profile of slightly roasted caramel malts and English, leafy hops. Smooth bittersweet ending. Drinks very well. Typical for the style and I like it (Session at Finn’s place in Tromsø, 02.02.2017). Finn (8149) - Tromsø, NORWAY - FEB 2, 2017
Flaske 500ml fra Kilpishalli. Delt med Rune i heimen 2.2.17. Mørk amber. Lavt kremaktig skum. God karamellaroma. Smaken mye malt ispedd litt krydder. Litt julestemning i denne. nephirem (622) - CROATIA - JAN 23, 2017
Backlog. Bottle, 0.5l. Clear amber pour with very visible carbonation. Small sized slightly off-white head with poor retention. Practically no lacing. Smell is malty and grassy.
Thin body with watery texture. High carbonation. Bittersweet taste with notable metallic acidity. Aroma of malts and caramel. A bit grassy, touch of bread and vanilla. Watered down and quite subdued, works really poor in combination with very high carbonation level. Dry finish.
Overall, mediocre bitter.

Copenhagen 22/1 2017. 50 cl bottle from Skjold Burne. Transparent glass bottle with Rudolph playing the guitar on the label. With a glowing red snout. Looks kind of delirious. Pours clear dark reddish brown with small white head. Head diminishes rapidly leaving only small remnants of foam. Aroma is caramel, butter and a skunky odeur that leads you to believe that the beer has been exposed to the sun for too long. Soft carbonation and slightly thick palate. Flavor is pretty well balanced. Medium sweet followed by typical English bitterness. Not bad - but a bit too much of skunky aroma. Idiosynkrasie (7967) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - DEC 30, 2016
500ml bottle. Clear, dark ruby colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, sulphureous head. Slightly wet strawy, mellow malty aroma, half-baked fruity hints of red berries and cherry. Taste is minimally doughy malty and bitter hoppy, minimally toasty-spicy nutty malty overtones. Rather boring - maybe useful as a kind of "neutralizer" between all the heavy and spicy Xmas specialties. jjsint (3492) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - DEC 12, 2016
Bottle from the Champion of the Thames. Light russet brown, thin and clear with only slight head. Metallic filtered-to-hell beer smell, but there’s a nice berry and forest floor scent underlying this. Taste is pretty good, with vanilla fudge sweetness tempered by fruity hop. The finish unfortunately throws a bit of astringency, which doesn’t work at all. Far too carbonated. Disappointing. Beerheart65 (1503) - Pori, FINLAND - NOV 25, 2016
Clear, sparkling mahogany, thin light brown head. Dry and malty aroma, wood, bit caramel, raisins, over-ripe banana, dough. Light to medium body, low carbonation, malty. Bit dull actually. tommann (3943) - Dudley, West Midlands, ENGLAND - NOV 20, 2016
500ml bottle. Pours dark reddy brown with a small head. Aroma is dusty toffee and yeasty ribena. Taste has berries to start and a burnt caramel finish.
