COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bourbon Barrel Aged Chocolate Raspberry Stout Finished on Madagascar Vanilla Beans. A dessert beer to the core, our Raspberry Stout is truly a feat in decadence. Loads of chocolate malt, cocoa nibs and local, late season red raspberries from Agriberry Farm all contribute to what would best be described as a raspberry truffle in liquid form. We then take this beer on another journey through months of maturation in freshly emptied bourbon barrels and finish it on Madagascar Vanilla Beans. The resulting flavor is a smooth, rich dark chocolate, ripe red raspberry and delicate notes of vanilla and bourbon.

Tap @ Mekong. Dark with big mocha head. Roasty aroma with raspberry. Get the vanilla in the flavor, still get chocolate, too, though.

Bottle: The aroma consists of light-moderate chocolate, vanilla, roast, and mild raspberry. It pours a dark brown with some faint orange highlights and a small beige head that quickly fades to a minimal film outlined by a thin ring. The flavor starts with moderate dark chocolate. It turns more cocoa in the middle and mixes with light raspberry. The finish has light-moderate roast and vanilla. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation.

2016 bottle thanks to Reiss. Aroma is moderate raspberry syrup with mild chocolate and bourbon. Tastes like huge raspberry, slightly medicinal but not bad. Big vanilla too with mild barrel influence. Slightly astringent finish. Good.
