UPDATED: MAR 15, 2018 Pint draft at Tap Craft Beer Bar in Singapore. Appearance is dark opaque brown black, with one finger of tan froth which disappears quickly. Sri.as are subdued, but there is chocolate and espresso coffee, over string fresh ginger. Tastewise is sweet, gingerbread being very dominant, but hints of stout flavours of chocs, coffee and vanilla with toasty malts beneath that. Medium bodied, goes down very smoothly. omhper (26207) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAR 14, 2018
Keg at Tap Craft Beer Bar, Singapore. Black with small beige head. Aroma of ginger marmelade and vanilla. Sweet with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Ginger, vanilla, ginger, ginger and cinnamon . Boozy finish with some syrup. Seriously unbalanced beer cocktail. Is there malt in there? kermis (15285) - The Hague / Amsterdam / Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - MAR 11, 2018

Bottle in Newport Beach. Pours an oily black with a tan head. Aroma is spicy with lots of ginger. Taste also has ginger, with hints of vanilla, cinnamon, dried fruit, rum and brandy. Not so much of the honey flavour, but there is a sweetness and spicyness which is very attractive. Highly drinkable. theprof (1520) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - JAN 13, 2018
Tap at the Canal House on Jan 13 which presumably means festive consumption in the US and metropolitan areas was insufficient. Aroma is spicy although for me it did not meet the dizzy heights of Jamaican ginger cake. The cinnamon that Americans pour like salt got in the way. There was some dark fruit, although not enough to match a Lancastrian mother's fruit cake (what could?) Taste is spicy but at least medium sweet since any sourness in this comes from within my friend. Palate is medium bodied so the lighter side of stout, texture is in no way related to velvet (and that is a feel few forget). Carbonation average and finish like Harry Kane's both decisive and cherished. Overall this rating is in the spirit of Christmas which as any dog or drinker will tell you is not just for Christmas. Pours a nice near black from a bottle, tan head was thick despite a not-too-rapid pour, had to wait to fill up the glass a bit, small amount of lacing. Ginger and molasses aroma, similar flavor. Dry, nice finish, about what I'd want. Pretty good beer.
