Tap. Brown with creamy head. I got dark fruits/dried fruits off the nose. Taste initially kind of grainy- what I think of rye but not necessarily what "is" rye. Then hops kicked in. Nice dryness and bitterness for not an IPA.

Draft at the brewery The ESB poured a clear light amber color with small heaqd and unknown lacing (served in a plastic cup) This is very drinkable ale with a nice floral nose and just enough bitterness from the hops to contribute to a complex enjoyable taste. The medium body beer had average carbonation. The finish had a lingering bitter taste.

On draft at the brewery. Beautiful reddish amber pour with fair one finger offwhite head. Very nice floral/citrus hop notes almost perfectly in balance with the earthy caramel biscuit backbone. Not overly bitter, just the right amount of hop flavor. Good moderate carbonation and the slight lingering hop bite leave the mouth longing for another sip. Very sessionable. Esb is definitely NOT one of my favorite styles, but this was one of the best ones I’ve had. I could drink this all day.
