Sweet aroma of caramel, cookies and hops.
Fruity flavour of caramel, grass and hops with notes of pine needles.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of bluebetty. Clear deep golden with an off-white head. Fresh citrusy hops in the nose with an underlying sweetness. Medium body, some caramel sweetness and distinct citrusy hoppiness. The finish may be considered a bit raw and unrefined from the bittering hops, but in general a decent APA. 150311 Oakes (19332) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 1, 2013
UPDATED: FEB 19, 2016 2015 rating: Hazy light amber, earthy caramel and piney hops, and similar balance on the palate. Earthy with a floral, almost spicy accent. Good bitter.

Bottled 33 cl at Penny Blue, Melbourne. On July 25, 2013.
Marked 5.2% ABV.
Hazy copper color, white head. Sweet, malty, hoppy taste. Hoppy, bitter aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium high bitterness. Sweet, malty scent.
Draught as part of a tasting paddle at The Australian Hotel on October 9, 2015.
Murky brown color, teal head. Herbal hoppy, roasted, toasted taste. Toasted aftertaste. Medium light to fizzy mouthfel, medium bitterness. Herbal, roasted scent.
Tap at the Napier Hotel, Melbourne. Poured a murky medium brown with a frothy white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is malt, light woody metallic hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a dry malt, light watery, light hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. An ESB? I really don't think so. Way too light, over carbonated and lacks body & defining flavours.
