Great looking beer - dense black body, small dense beige head.
Moderate nose to it - blackened toast, licorice, cocoa, roast nuts.
Smooth palate, reasonably rich & full, subdued carbonation bolsters this.
Roasty, toasty, blackened, charred - with notes of licorice & dark fruits. Firm bitterness, lingering cocoa.

(Bottle) Pours black with small short-lived beige head. Aroma is dark roast malt, notes of coffee and toast. Medium body with nice smooth fine carbonation. Full flavoured with dark roast, burnt toffee notes to the fore. There’s some sweet creamy notes up front, which steadily give way to some strong bitter notes combining hoppy bitterness and dark chocolate and coffee bitterness. Great stout.

Pours black with no head. Aroma is quite sweet with hints of toast, biscuit and dark chocolate. Flavour is a nice mix of the aromas but is a little thin. This is not necessarily a bad thing because it makes a great quaffing stout

A perfectly balanced aroma of chocolate, honey, nougat, roasted malt and coffee with a little plum thrown in for good measure.
