Overly sweet and something slightly unpleasant underneath the otherwise nice wit spicing. Weirdly dark for the style.

Bottle from Lupe Pinto. Appearance - murky orange. Nose - bread, fudge. Taste - more fudge, some orange. Palate - light bodied and creamy. Could be fresher. Overall - yeah, could be fresher.

allmyvinyl (11020) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 26, 2017
Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours hazy orange with a thin white head. Aromas of light spice and orange. Taste is bready sweet, light spice. Nice rounded with.

floydslip (422) - Washington DC, USA - DEC 21, 2016
Slightly cloudy orange beer with a thick billowing bright white head. Nose of orange, coriander, and white pepper. Flavor is crisp and slightly sweet with candied orange, rose water, and a bit of soap finishing with a mild peppery bitterness that doesn’t linger too long. Crisply carbonated, this is an easy beer to drink quickly, but it could have a bit more flavor.

appearance: clear yellow, tiny white head forming a soapy collar. aroma: fragrant--notes of peppercorn, toasted coriander, crackers, candied lemon peel. taste: lemon zest, toasted coriander, strong note of peppercorn, slight tang on the back end. finish: feels a little hot, but not from the abv; probably more from the peppery notes; palate is full but high carb keeps things zingy. notes: Actually not bad for an American wit. I measure everything against Allagash White and Port City Optimal Wit, so this doesn’t stack up there, but for what it is, it’s totally fine. Bottle from the Craft Beer of the Month Club.

Very cloudy Amber color. Wit spices were on target. More body than expected. 5.8% ABV is high for the style.

rumproasts (6035) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - NOV 7, 2015
bottle. Golden orange with one finger head. Mild wheaty base with lemon and more body than you’d expect for the style. Light wit spicing. Rather mediocre for the style.

curdbird (11) - Brooklyn, USA - OCT 27, 2014
Poured from bottle. Coriander heavy on the nose and the taste, backed up by tart lemon more reminiscent of Lemonheads candy than the fruit itself. Palate is sticky, looks like warm piss in the glass. Not bad, but leaves a lot to be desired compared to superior witbiers.

Jow (4085) - Orlando, Florida, USA - SEP 1, 2014
Bottle at home. Pours dull yellow with small head. Nose is spice and wheat. Tastes of lemony wheat, plenty of coriander, bit of orange peel, and sugar. Palate is refreshing enough but a touch thin. Unmemorable but not unpleasant.

3.2
beerbill (3618) - Laurel, New York, USA - AUG 10, 2014
12 oz. bottle at the North Fork Craft Beer Festival at Peconic Bay Vineyard. Pours a mostly clear gold with a moderate white head. Mild aroma of coriander with some mild tart lemon. The flavor is stronger than the aroma with the coriander most evident along with some tart lemon. Mild bitterness at the finish.
