Bottle:   Amber, coppery hue, slight haze, moderate off-white head, spotty lacing, light carbonation.
Pale biscuity malts on the nose, slight caramel, a little bready.   Has a little toasted character to it too.
Not as biscuity on the tongue, toasted malt, slight caramel, a little sweet, minor hop.   Definitely a toned
down ESB.   Has a really good malt base.   Certainly gives it a good mouthfeel.   Body is also good.
It almost needs a bit of hop to balance out how heavy the malts are.   Smooth, but yeah, needs a slight hop
addition. Ibrew2or3 (8607) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - SEP 28, 2010
Courtesy of bvc. Pours hazy copper with off white head. The aroma is spicy apple, spicy hops, earthy hops and some sweet maltiness. The taste begins with sweet malts and then moving toward modest notes of grapefruit and spicy hops. It then runs into earthy - black tea - roasty dry malts approaching the finish. This brew seems to start sweet yet sharp with hops and finishes somewhat roasty and dry. Nice sebletitje (10048) - Enghien, BELGIUM - SEP 26, 2010

Nose has notes of caramel and toffee, apples, and other fruity notes as well as some earthy peppery hops and a hint of grain. Pours amber with a tight tan head and nice lace. The flavor is a mixture of caramel malts, light marmelade, some tropical fruit, toasted grains, light apple, and light peppery earthy bitterness in the finish. Very enjoyable English Style session beer. bvc (1242) - Washington, USA - JUL 16, 2010
22oz capped. Pours a light clear bright amber with small yet tight bright white head. Bright caramel malt, slight vegital, earthy fuggles with some light golden raisins, apples and peppering. Light crisp body with tight carbonation. Very english in profile with snappy flavors of caramel, light vegetable, white pepper, doughy, woody and musty earthen hops. Not a style that I am a fan of, but wanted to try this one out and pleased with the results. Well made and a good example of the style.
