12/9/07 On draught at the brewery. Aroma is very lush, alcoholic, with dark fruit skins and chocolatey roast. Appearance is very dark brown with a medium tan head. Flavor is smooth, woody, with evidence of the rum barrel and a fruity alcoholic note. Mouthfeel is warm, quite creamy, with low carb texture. Overall, very cool, quite rich and very complex, but needs to open up a bit to lose its harshness. Pound this one too quickly or drink it too cold and you’ll definitely be missing out.
