4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: NOV 15, 2010 On tap at Harmon Restaurant, pours an unusual brown colour, a la chocolate milk, with not a trace of head. Aroma of chocolate milk and roasted malt. Flavour of chocolate milk, roasted malt and some coffee. Body is ridiculously thick - never encountered a beer this thick and creamy - very robust palate and sticky finish. Delicious!

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft at the new St Helens Ave location. Cool spot. Pours essentially black and opaque with no head or lace. Big tawny nose, definitely oxidized. Not an aged beer by any means. No idea why it’s in this shape or why they would decide to pour it. Are they not tasting it beforehand? Sticky thick body, sharply sweet, just piercingly sugary in a tarty vinous way. Lots of roasty chocolate too. Odd choice to serve this one.
