Thanks Jason. The beer pours to a dark cola/black body with a thin fizzy dark brown head. The aroma is rich chocolate, vanilla, oatmeal, milk chocolate, and chocolate syrup. The flavor is charred black malts, coffee, tangy and heavily astringent. Sort of hard to drink. The palate is tart and astringent. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 25, 2009
Bomber. Poured clear, deep garnety-brown with a creamy cap of tan head. The aroma picked up moderately-roasted black patent and chocolatey malts with accents of earth and some odd sourness.. smelled like something was a bit off. The flavor had more of the sourness and less of the maltage with vinegar (and slight fruity) notes over black patent, sweet chocolate, and lesser coffee.. finished sour as well with mostly black patent malts. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation on the palate.. sourness did not help and I think there may be a bottling problem as the porter I had the other day with even in worse shape (and these aren’t that old). On tap at the CBG Exbeerience. Pours translucent black with no head. Full, creamy sweet body, subdued carbonation. Lots going on in the nose and the taste: chocolate, coffee, rum, oak. This beer is a beast. Bradrcr (806) - Renton, Washington, USA - APR 27, 2008
3/22/08 On tap at the Cask Festival. Aroma is sour with a sweet roasty note of light toast. Appearance is dark brown with a medium tan head. Flavor is chocolate and astringent with a good sweet malt creaminess. Mouthfeel is heavy bodied with a low carb texture . Overall, fairly good and quite rich.

Small tan head sits on a black body with a tint of red. Aroma is thin of toffee and brown sugar. Light body and sweet. No bitterness or dryness at the end.
