Yellow-golden color, mild, musty malt aroma, weak hop bite.

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2003 This is a strong lager. Hits you right away and then you are left disecting the malt flavor left behind. The beer in general seems to be a bit unbalanced, though it may just be a unique taste, anyways a pretty good beer, but just too unnecessarily sour and carbonated.

Nothing american standard about it. Its actually enjoyable. Not exactly the epitome of craftmanship due to the fact that it tastes a smidge like dirty gravel after it goes down at first (replaced by bitterness later). BUT, it does have its moments. Had it on tap at an ’irish’ joint.

Really? This is an American Standard - go figure. Maybe I just can’t take this style seriously as I have to give it a below average rating. Its a decent brew, but just too light. Light hops, light malt ... at least there is some flavor to it.

The best bar-lager besides Sam Adams. Good to enjoy with friends, listening to good music.

When you are drinking on the company dollar any beer tastes fantastic, as did this one.

UPDATED: APR 12, 2004 Rerate Light golden appearance, slight white head. malty, worty aroma. Crisp, Saaz hoppy taste with a solid malt backdrop. Finishes strong Original 3.1 Not bad when you need an 'import' but don't have the bucks for a real one.

gws57 (1276) - Saint Charles, Illinois, USA - JUL 12, 2002
So-so. The fact that every twelve pack at my liquor store says ’Made in Canada’ is not conducive to me paying for this wannabe Irish.

beerlovinman99 (124) - USA - JUL 9, 2002
It’s lighter than it looks -- perhaps too hoppy for a non-IPA beer, but refreshing nevertheless.

Refreshing wheat flavor…Sugar in the malt…Yawn…
