On tap; gold/straw color with light-medium head. Slightly grassy aroma, but fruity as well. pretty good hop/malt balance. Definitely one of the better pale lagers out there.

From old tasting notes. Clear gold color with a large creamy white head. Fruity hop aroma. Bitter hops upfront with a sourdough background. Nice dry hoppy finish and aftertaste. Nicely done.

Scipio (1315) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - APR 9, 2017
Pours a pale, watery yellow with a thin white head. The aroma is pretty weak. Its made up mostly of floral hops, but I do get some grain and lemon as well. The taste has a very light sweetness and is somewhat bitter. Floral hops are still heavier, with bread, mild earthy malts, lemon, and some graininess that comes through more at the end. The aftertaste is lemon and grain, but sadly the grainy flavor here is more potent. Light in body, thin in texture, and average in carbonation. I remember about 15 years ago when I considered this a premium beer. Today, unfortunately, I can’t find anything positive with this one.

Aroma is slightly sweet, slightly funky, earthy hops, corn, a really off-putting sweetness. Appearance is darker golden, white head, clear and bubbly. Taste is corn, slightly fruity, earthy hops, metallic, not good. Mouthfeel is light body, light crisp carbonation, corn and fruity aftertaste. Overall, a 96 by style? They sure set the bar low for this style. It’s not atrocious, but it’s severely lacking in a way that a typical macro does.

As Harp Ice Cold, 5%. Tap at Hercules, Belfast. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a thin long-lasting white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is lager malt, light hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a grainy dry malt hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with lively carbonation.

fellebag (1585) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAR 24, 2017

Benzai (17000) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - MAR 13, 2017
Tap @ Slatterys bar. Clear golden color, average sized white head. Smell and taste malts, light grains, light bitterness. Bit dusty as well. Average body and carbonation. Meh, drinkable but boring lager.

Quick3Beers (1566) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 12, 2017
