bottled - pale golden in color. Skunky aroma. Acceptable but nothing special.

originally rated on 2/6/08. Harp for me is a good all around brew, not to pricey, and has enough flavor to keep you interested. Not the greatest beer out there but it is a good standby. Golden color, mild hops and yeast flavors with a smooth finish.

I had it on tap. It pours a clear golden color with a white head and some lacing. The aroma is corn , bread, and grass. The taste is the same without the skunky bitterness you get with many beers of the style. It’s a smooth and drinkable beer. It’s a good value beer.

UPDATED: APR 4, 2017 330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with a small frothy long-lasting white head. pleasant aroma, sweet, hoppy, bready, faintly fruity. Refreshingly light taste, hops, malts, no bitterness. Really nice, easily drinkable.

Aroma of honey and grains. Medium mouth feel. Flavors of light toffee, toast, and malts. Would be good as a black and lager with Guinness...of course!

Pours a clear golden color. Pretty tall head, white and short lived. Little lacing. Nothing extraordinary.

Aroma is bready and also hoppy. A little more character than normal for a lager.

Taste is bready and hoppy. A little more bold than normal for a lager. A little more bitter. It has grassy hops that are a little more prominent than most. I taste medium roasted malts. It’s has a little more character than most lagers.

Mouthfeel is light. Lighter than what I expected. It finishes clean and dry. It’s almost like drinking water. Odd, I can taste the malts in my sinuses. I’m not sure why I’m tasting that, but it gives me a perspective I didn’t have before.

Overall, it’s good. It’s better than you Budweiser, your Coors, your whatever. More character, more flavor, and more pricey. But it’s still a solid lager, and I would recommend trying it if you haven’t.
