Backlog. 4oz draft. Lite brown with small offwhite head. Caramel and roasted malts with mild earthy hops. Decent.

22oz bottle. Should’ve drank this over a year ago, but it got lost in my cellar, so I won’t ding it for age. Tasted just like what I thought an 18-month old brown IPA would: Carmelized malt, dulled hops, hints of oxidization. Do not age this!

Originally rated on 5/31/14. Poured a mid to deep brown body with a finger or so of light brown head.Aromas of grapefruit, and pine hops with hints of chocolate malt as it warms a bit.Flavor has some earthy hops in the front, with some dark malt and nuttiness on the finish.Medium, creamy body with medium carbonation.Overall its unimpressive.

Bottle into tulip. Dark amber, somewhat sparse cream head. Bit too cold initially, seems like a more or less typical IPA with a darker, malty body and reasonable not overly hopped profile. As it warms up, the impression holds, with a touch more dark notes, like light chocolate in the mouth and a slightly earthy scent. Overall, kind of a brown ale-IPA hybrid, fairly easy drinking but rewarding a bit of attention too.

Bottle. Pours brown with Amber tint and with a tan head that leaves a ring. Chocolate roasted malt aroma with citrus and pine aromas. Chocolate and roasted malt start, followed by citrus then pine flavors. Malty backbone with some resin.

Draft at Mahaffeys. Dark cloudy brown, bright tan head. Aroma of boozy and herbal chicolate raisins. Taste is dark fruit and roast. Tasty.

Bottle @ gmellison via trade. Pours a reddish brown appearance with a light brown head. Somewhat toasty and nutty, a bit dusty, caramel aroma. Moderate bitterness. Fairly malty flavor with a touch of coffee and some caramel. Earthy hops. Ok.
