COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We worked with our friends at Equal Exchange to brew this English style Porter. Specialty malts provide caramel and dark chocolate notes and a sweet, smooth body, while coffee beans grown in the Mexican El Triunfo biosphere yield roasted, bittersweet notes that compliment the malty sweetness. The result is a balanced beer that showcases the flavors and aromas of both beer and coffee - a fitting equal exchange.

Very complex flavored and aroma with coffee chocolate and malts. Dark pour. Favorite of the 100 barrel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

It poured a deep, dark brown yielding the same color body with a large foamy off white head in my nonic. Some nice speckled lacing spider-webbed around the sides of the glass. The smell had the coffee up front with light hints of chocolate and roasted malt. The taste was lightly bitter with the coffee holding its own in the forefront, moderate amounts of chocolate and roasted malts present themselves acceptably and balanced. The palate was about a medium to light, almost a bit watery, but mainly balanced. It was smooth all around and very drinkable. It left a dry aftertaste and finish. Overall, this is definitely a beer for coffee lovers. I would come back to this.

Bomber. Pours a very deep near-black brown with a slight tan head. Big fairly fresh roasted coffee aroma. Taste is huge, fresh roasted coffee. Almost too much. Not enough of a beer-y, malty backbone to balance things out. Comes off too sweet and bitter.

Bomber. Pours deep dark brown with a tan head.Huge coffee aroma followed by intense coffee and chocolate flavors so I guess you could say mocha. Mistakenly poured this with dinner and it wasn’t doing it for me but then pulled it back out with a carrot cake desert and suddenly it was delicious. Definitely have to be a coffee fan for this one though.

Draft at Brixx Greensboro. Pours coca cola brown with a half inch of khaki foam. Nice coffee notes on the nose. Big, big coffee on the tongue which I happen to like. Finishes clean. Very nice!

Draft. Pours near black with a beige head. Big fresh coffee, espresso, roasted malts, vanilla, milk chocolate, and a nice lingering bitter coffee finish. Wake up muthafucka!

Large light brown head of fine bubbles. At least 2 inches thick. Strong coffee and dark chocolate aroma with a bit of ash and more coffee! Color is a very dark brown bordering on black. Wow, massive coffee up front that lingers for the duration but diminishes as you go along. Body is a bit thin but still full flavored. Dark roasted malts, burnt toast and a bit of bitterness late swallow. No real alcohol presence. This is basically coffee with a bit of alcohol. Not my cup of tea if you know what I mean. Ha ha! A good brew if you like coffee. Too much coffee for my tastes though.

Dark brown with tan head. Roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate aroma. Roasted malt flavor and brown sugar with cocoa flavors and coffee finish. Some hops in finish.

22 ounce bottle, stamp on bottle says enjoy by 03/15/13. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours dark brown with an inch tan head. Head retention is good, and there’s a lot of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, and vanilla. The taste is similar to the aroma, it tastes like coffee, chocolate, roasted malt and some caramel and dark fruit. Nice balance between the sweet and bitter flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit creamy and has moderate carbonation. I think it’s a good overall brew, and definitely worth trying at $5.99 a bomber. Recommended if you like coffee beers.
