Bottle from backlog notes. Pours a dark cola brown color with a medium sized beige head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, chocolate, some mineral character, earthy hop bitterness, good. generallee08 (778) - New York, USA - JUL 19, 2014
The body has dark opaque body which is black in color. On top stands a tall tan head which is thick and looks similar to the foam on top of chocolate milkshake. It is long lasting and makes lots of sticky lacing as I drink. The aroma is rich and roasted with toasted dark maltiness. Hints of dark chocolate, toasted bread mix with a slight mineral like edgy character from the shellfish. Some leafy hop notes are also detected here. There is defiantly a heavy hit of dark roasted maltiness with notes of chocolate malt, dark caramel, some light ABV and a interesting almost salty mineral like thing going on in there. Leafy herbal like hops add a bit of bitterness and flavor as well. The hops are most noticeable in the finish. Its texture is firm but not too thick or viscose as to be hard to drink or cloying. It has a nice level of carbonation and drinks very well without being too thin or watery. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - MAR 31, 2014
sample at EBF, briny and salty like a gose but balanced well with roasty malts. Bitter salty finish, This is neat and surprisingly an easy drinker. decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - MAR 13, 2014
Brown/black pour with tan head and lace. Aroma is chocolate and coffee. Flavor is sweet roasted malt and oyster shells. Medium bodied with good carbonation. ok Dan269605 (235) - Rocky Hill, Connecticut, USA - MAR 12, 2014
Very dark brown, thin beige head. Dark malt aromas, slight mineral quality coming from the oysters. On the tongue, there is a coffee like bitterness followed by a salty, mineral, subtle clean ocean flavor which I like. The oysters are certainly present but still subtle. A great dry stout. Went very well with pastrami.

Nice starting head that is generous with the lace. Dark brown, but not black. Light opaquely shines through. jkwalking05 (4745) - Arlington, Texas, USA - JUL 3, 2013
Classic dark chocolate smells. Very little chaulkiness.
Thin bodied, but otherwise excellent stout flavors of bitter malt flavor. No milk or sweetness, but I can detect subtle hop in the background.
Rated in 2010 (Backlog) - Black in color with a large beige head. Aroma is of coffee, salt water and roasted malts. Taste is salty with coffee, roasted malts and light mint. Imaena (2359) - Maputo, MOZAMBIQUE - JUN 21, 2013
Deep rich roasted flavor, slightly brinny after taste. A little salt. NIce dry stout. Nothing exceptional. But it is interesting and worth a go. Beerdedone (3460) - Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 13, 2013
Bottle. Pours black/brown with a tan head that left good rings of lace. Aroma was roasty & malty with chocolate and coffee. Flavor was slightly sweet with bitter chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, light caramel, a bit of smoke and had some mineral notes with a dry and roasty finish. A decent stout asheft (3111) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 31, 2012
Sweet roast and molasses aroma with some sweet cream and dark chocolate. Opaque brown-black with clear, ruddy brown highlights and a lasting, thin, light brown cover. Sweet and roasty vanilla and hazelnutty mocha flavour with a moderate bitterness. Balance toward sweet, with a dark brown sugar finish and notes of liquorice. Medium to full body, moderate to medium carbonation, sweet, nutty and dark molasses finish.
