Caramel, clean and refreshing. Hops in the aftertaste. Improves flavor by increased temperatures.

SpringsLicker (3616) - Tennessee, USA - MAR 5, 2011
Pours a deep dark amber with a lasting white head. Sweet candy malt aroma. No hops. Sweet malt flavor with a touch of hop bitterness on the back end.

not sure what i expected from this one, but it wasn’t this. Dark amber color, not too much aroma, has a metallic smell, like a tin can. Kind of like Sam Adams Boston lager upon first sip. nothing really special or distinctive about it, not bad though just sort of there. Doesn’t make me want to try more of the style.

ttutony (918) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 25, 2011
Dark copper in the glass with an off-white head. Faint malty aroma. Nutty malt flavors with a touch of caramel. Spicy hop finish. Not really outstanding but certainly a very drinkable beer.

ROGUE (2215) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - FEB 24, 2011
22oz bottle. Pours a clear dark honey brown with one finger long lasting head. A very subtle smell of malt and some hops. The taste starts out sweet with flavors of caramel, fruit and brown sugar. Then bready flavors come with a hearty malt character. The hops presence is strong but not over powering and creates a good balance. Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.

JFGrind (2043) - Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 23, 2011
22 ounce bomber poured in tall Oktoberfest glass. Copper light bodied with good lacing and light, spicy bitterness. Also slight sourness, yeasty and roasted grain flavors. Could this be Hamburg’s session beer?

3.3
BeeriedEyed (211) - USA - FEB 3, 2011
This beer was alright. I haven’t tried any other beer of this genre but to me it tasted like a spicy lager. Not a go to beer but I’m glad that I’ve tried it.

Lubiere (13796) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 2, 2011
A dark amber beer with a thick off white head. In aroma, nutty malt with bits of lactic points, grainy and herbal. In mouth, a nutty malt with an oily mouthfeel, light roasted nots, lactic points, not bad. Tasted Jan 1 2011.
