Aroma: The nose is semi-sweet with some caramel, yeast, wood, and roasted malts
Appearance: Pours a cloudy brownish color, orange hue, a small beige head, and no lace
Flavor: Tastes light-medium sweet up-front, with a roasty/oaky flavor coming through later
Palate: The body is light-medium with a sticky mouthfeel, and a late tingle from the carbonation
Overall, this is a pretty solid Dukel, not an amazing beer, but it has a solid flavor to it. The oak aging works pretty well, and doesn’t overpower everything else. They did a pretty decent job here.
Tap. Ruby red brown that’s clear with little to no head. Roasty dark malt aroma with toffee. Toffee dominates the flavor too much, but has some slight spice and earthiness. Medium body. Not catching any of the oak, and kinda bland overall. cbkschubert (2901) - BFE, Arizona, USA - JUL 2, 2011

UPDATED: JUN 6, 2011 Pours dark reddish brown color with tan head. Aromas of toasted malts, caramel and oak. Sweet caramel and toasted malt flavors with some vanilla and oak. Medium body with average carbonaion. johnnnniee (4457) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - MAY 28, 2011
Pours a deep garnet with a thinnish off white head that dissipates rather quickly. Smells of vanilla and a hint of oak dark fruits and a slight bit of caramelized sugars. Taste is dark fruits dark and burnt sugars mixed with hints of oak. Lightly carbonated with a medium body and slick mouthfeel. Reminds me a bit of the Munich Dark that Harpoon used to sell but with deeper flavors. This is a nice subtle dark lager really, I could see myself enjoying these often if this was packaged in 12 ounce six packs.

22oz bottle. Poured a dark amber color, medium sized off-white head. Aroma was a bit oaky, vanilla, malty body otherwise. The flavor is mostly malt, with notes of vanilla. It’s okay. Hopper (827) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - MAY 10, 2011
$5.99/22 oz. brown bottle. Poured in a shaker. Looks good in the glass. Dark reddish brown with a nice 1" foamy head as some of it clings to the glass. The aroma is slightly sweet, floral, earthy hop notes. Maybe even a dash of chocolate. The taste is moderately sweet, some chocolate in the middle. The finish has slight spicy earthiness. An easy drinker. jeremytoni (3085) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - MAY 8, 2011
From a bottle poured a brown color with a good amount of head. Sweet malty flavor with a quick finish. anders37 (27588) - Malmö, SWEDEN - MAY 7, 2011
Bottle. Tasted blind @ yespr. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty grainy bitter caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty woody bitter caramel finish. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - MAY 6, 2011
The beer pours a dark brownish-red color with a small tan head. The aroma is a mix of oak, toffee, wood, caramel and a little bit of cocoa. The flavor is heavy on the oak and chocolate as well as some toffee. I also get a little bit of cream in the flavor. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not bad.
