Bomber. Ruddy brown and pretty clear with a nice off-white head. Nose is a little tannic, with some grape-like tones, some wood, and a little caramel malt. Flavor brings medium-sweet malt, mild hop character and just a little bit of oakiness. Not quite the malt character I’d expected from a dunkel, but it’s still pleasant. The oak character is very minimal, though - it’d be pretty easy to miss. Not bad, anywho.
22oz bottle. Poured an amber color with an off white head. Oak/woodiness, earthy, toasted bread, and caramel. smcolw (617) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 28, 2014
Impressive over-the-rim, tight head. The head has a tinge of beige to it. While receding, it leaves streaky lace and a rich, fine-bubbled dome. The liquid is a ruby brown (where a bright light can shine through) and appears to be very clear.
Dark and earthy aroma. Mild cream to the nose. No notable hop.
Interesting confluence of flavors, I tasted (in this order) cream, vanilla, mild pepper from hop, chocolate malt with overdone (but not quite burnt) toast, and then some alcohol warmth after the swallow. The body is accurate for a dunkel with a decent level of carbonation. The aftertaste dies quickly but it is complex like the brew itself. maniac (3800) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 1, 2014

Bomber from Whole Foods Market Reston, VA. Pours a clear copper color with not much of a head. Aroma of raisin, date, caramel and vanilla. The taste is toffeeish malts, raisins, faint vanilla and fainter wood. Thin-medium bodied. Decent. Ungstrup (37558) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - OCT 16, 2011
Bottled. A dark amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and alcohol, leading to a dry, metallic and alcoholic finish. dlovell2 (2132) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - OCT 9, 2011

22oz bottle. Poured a deep caramel brown color with a light tan two finger head. Aroma is a nice blend of oak, sweet maltiness and light caramel and vanilla. The taste is smooth caramel malts with a nice touch of toasted oakiness. Mouthfeel is on the light side of medium with mild carbonation.
