Yellow, good head. Pineapple hop aroma. Taste is pine hops and a slight orange citrus taste to it - a bit harsh towards the end. Finish is bitter and light. guzzler67 (1696) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - AUG 27, 2011
Bright but cloudy (especially after the last pour from the bottle) appearance with a large, off white head and very good lacing. Rye is apparent right away in the aroma where it pairs with spicy, herbal hops. There is balance in the taste as well, with the grainy spicyness of the rye and an evolving, bitter hop profile. Earthy, medium bodied, nicely carbonated mouthfeel with a lingering finish. Terminus (3679) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - AUG 27, 2011
bottle-pours slightly hazy orange with a foamy soapy white head. nose is mostly floral citric and some tropical notes-lite orange peal. flavors are sweet citrus lite wood lite diacytl nad floral notes. not bad but nothing great dont know how good this bee would be fresh from the brewery. It sux that TX gets these beers not very fresh unless they are released that way. I dunno. Regardless, an average IPA here. Shag (2981) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - AUG 26, 2011

A different IPA. Aroma was OK. Slightly lemony with hints of grains. Pour was a nice light gold with a one finger off white head and plenty of rising bubbles. Taste was very dry and bitter. Light pilsner malt and strong biting hops attacking the top of the mouth. A little hot with good carbonation. No rye detectable in this beer, but good for what it is. Slightly thin mouth feel. Lots going on with this one. Good carbonation with a light amber color. Bready-spice aromas. Flavor is complex, almost peppery. Smoothness. Good malty balance. Light citrus finish. Not bad at all. rougeau13 (2954) - Richmond, Texas, USA - AUG 19, 2011
Amber, mostly clear, with a pillow of cream colored head. There’s a good bit of lacing in there. Aroma, a health dose of pine and citrus, with caramel malt and rye. The rye comes out more in the taste. Mild malt profile, and a solid bitterness, but a bit lacking in depth. Medium bodied, quite dry, and smoothly carbonated, with a long bitter finish. I don’t think the taste compliments the aroma very well, but it’s a pretty good beer. Especially compared to most Harpoon brews that I’ve tried. alobar (3754) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 12, 2011
Pours a hazy straw yellow color with a rimmed white head. Aroma of hops, rye, caramel, and pine. Flavor of rye, caramel, pine, and a subtle hop bitter ending. Really nice beer! Quevillon (3061) - Boisbriand, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 12, 2011
660 ml bottle purchased at a liquor store in Windsor, Vermont, on July 28, 2011. Honey blonde hazy, small head. Aroma of rye very dominant, with notes of raw barley, slightly hoppy. Taste of dry rye, slightly hoppy with hints of herbs and citrus, aftertaste of bitter cereal. A intense and enjoyable cereal IPA!
