The appearance had a hazy copper colored body giving a one finger white foamy speckled head that lasted for a good minute before it concaved into the body lightly and slowly. The body was too dark for any carbonation to be seen rising.
The smell had rye malts up front with some light hoppy notes giving a wonderful spicy scent.
The taste brought these flavorings back boldly with some light caramel undertones.
The palate had a medium with nothing harsh on the tongue, just an overall great feel.
Overall, I really liked this beer and would have it again if I lived in its distro.
Bottle to taster. Bottle is labeled enjoy by 03/15/14. Looks good for the style; a transparent orange with eggshell head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells of floral and piney hops and mild rye spice with a fairly sweet backbone. Tastes like it smells, but not as hoppy. Average on the palate. A little sweeter than I prefer, and smells better than it tastes, but a decent example of the style nonetheless. kirk36 (223) - Peabody, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 9, 2014
Clean, crisp, floor sweeper of an ipa. The rye usurps the cascade and corrects the balance so it's even. I like it.

Poured into a half liter glass. This is a sturdy IPA strengthened by a addition of rye. A good dose of malt solidifies this brew. Not a weak piney session beer. Not a hop-head amped up behemoth. This is a great and solid IPA. Bravo and Cheers!

Not a fan. It has a taste of like a Heineken with less skunk then a clean finish. It gets better as you drink it but it doesn't immediate grab me. yrstruly (359) - Guelph, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 19, 2014
Pours clear, pale amber with a fine white head that fades and leaves a bit of lacing. Aroma of citrus hops, a bit of pine, a bit of grass and fruit. Taste is lightly malty with a lot of abrupt hop flavour. Highish carbonation, medium body. Definitely not a subtle beer. Creedence (315) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 16, 2014
Pours a clear amber, white head recedes to a thin film, great lacing. Nice bright hop aroma, citrus, some grass. Taste is a nice light malty character followed by a huge crisp citric bite. Light spiciness too. Finish is dry and crisp, very fizzy and a lingering citrus aftertaste. Great RIPA! hershiser2 (3702) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - FEB 10, 2014
Amber with a large off-white head. Smells of bread and grapefruit. Tastes of soapy pine and grapefruit. rob02190 (25) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - FEB 4, 2014
Amber hue of sweet nectar, my god this is a smooth beer. It has aromas of apricots, whisky and honey. A cloudy wildflower appearance. Carbonation is on the light side but very acceptable.
