I’ll be scoring this higher than most. Maybe ’cause it’s 100° out and I didn’t expect to find this quality beer on tap at a Marriott. If you can’t decide between a Belgian or an IPA this is the beer for you. Nice dark golden color, crisp taste, fruity, a little hops with a slightly bitter finish. Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Dry Belgian yeast, flowery and fruity notes, light spicy notes, and a medium bitter flowery hoppy finish. Really damn drinkable and quite delicious. mansquito (6784) - Nueva York, New York, USA - JUN 4, 2013
Whole Foods, Bowery 650ml ($6): Pours a slightly hazy golden with a white head and lacing. Aroma is wonderful yeast that makes me say "that’s nice yeast," gentle hoppiness and an underlying fruitiness. Taste is lightly bitter, but in a nice guy kind of way. Very lightly sweet, but the aftertaste is actually a bit sugary. Some citrus flavors break through. Herbal hops are present as well. Nice complexity. Very nice to drink. Very happy I purchased.

Bottle at home. Pours lightly hazy orange with a large, frothy off-white head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is earthy, citrus, minty, and dank hops with barnyard and farmhouse yeast notes, and biscuit malt. Flavor is moderate hops and bitterness with supporting malt, earthy Belgian yeast, light fruity esters and a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. DoublEE (782) - South Euclid, Ohio, USA - JUL 24, 2013
Poured a light hazy beige color ale with a large fluffy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of biscuit malt with light fruity ester and some floral malt. Taste is also a nice mix of biscuit malt with light fruity ester and some floral dry hops with light residuals sugar notes. Body is a touch fuller then average with good carbonation. Refreshing and somewhat complex beer. j12601 (13027) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - MAY 18, 2013
Bottle that I took to James’s 4k/5k/10k tasting. Pours a lightly hazed gold with a thin white head. Big bright citrus hops on the nose, light musky yeast. Medium bodied, grassy. Nice musk and dusty hop bitterness. Wonderfully easy drinking, nice change of pace. superspak (5871) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - JUL 30, 2013
22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 8/15/2013. Pours moderately hazy and cloudy pale golden amber color with a 2 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big lemon zest, orange zest, pineapple, peach, pear, clove, pepper, banana, bubblegum, wheat, floral, grass, and floral/yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hop and yeast ester notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon zest, orange zest, pineapple, pear, clove, banana, pepper, bubblegum, floral, grass, wheat, and floral/yeast earthiness. Light earthy floral bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus zest, pineapple, pear, clove, banana, pepper, bubblegum, floral, grass, wheat, and earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and complexity of citrus hops with fruity/spicy yeast esters; with a fair amount of flavor robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly prickly mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good hoppy Belgian style. Good balance and complexity of hop and yeast ester notes; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering. jcos (1851) - Maryland, USA - AUG 2, 2013
Location/Date:Bottle on August 2nd, 2013.
Appearance: Pours a nice golden opaque cloud with light white head.
Aroma: Aroma of doughy yeast, faint pine,
Taste: Light bitterness, faint sweetness of orange, light dough.
Palate:Medium body, smooth, a hint of a finish that’s not too aggresive.
Summary: First off, the palate on this is really nice. I like the idea of a belgian beer with american hops, and i enjoy golden ales so this was very good. Not as bitter as I would have expected, but a nice beer nonetheless.
