Dirty blonde color with a definitive haziness. One-finger head that settles to a single layer. Ample blanketing lace.
Pale grain aroma to start. Plenty of flower with grapefruit rind hop nose in the end.
Highly carbonated--spritzy even. Strongly hoppy with lots of black pepper. There’s a touch of Belgian yeast in the background, particularly at the swallow. The body is neutral. pete4999 (1445) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JAN 21, 2014
Pretty much exactly as advertised. Tasted like a hoppier version of your standard sweet spicy Belgian. The women seemed to enjoy it, and I’m a fan of the style so it worked for me too. Perhaps a little too sweet, but so many of the Belgians are. Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 16, 2013
In short: A spicy and hoppy (grassy-grapefruity) Belgian blonde ale.cubs (10693) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - NOV 16, 2013
How: Bottle 22oz, consumed fresh soon after the beer release.
The look: Tiny particles floating in a partly cloudy blonde body topped by a medium white head.
In long: Nose is quite spicy along with plenty of grassy and grapefruity hops. The aroma also has mild fruity Belgian blonde ale esters but it is crushed by the hops. In mouth the beer feels lively, medium body. Taste had a fun malts, crisp and with a flavor somewhere between crackers and biscuits. Strong yeasty fluffiness sensation. A rather strong spiciness and I have a hard time believing this spiciness natural (spicy hops, spicy yeast phenols) because I got a whole lot of ginger and other spices here, even some cloves. Also got some bubblegum, gingerbread man, phenols, tropical fruits, bananas. A strong grassy-grapefruity hoppy finish that washes all the sweetness away. Certainly not a boring beer but didn’t win me over, I can’t exactly put my finger on it but overall I thought there was too much going on, maybe too spicy and the spiciness crashes with the rest of the beer. And I just hate it when I’m in a bar with a great selection of beer and plenty of snacks so I sit down and start enjoying the beer and food and then the owner throws me out yelling things like “I told you to never come back here again!” and “Get out of my grocery store!”.
Bottle @ home, courtesy of a real fucken chill trader. Pours a hazy golden appearances with a cream colored, lasting head. Spicy floral, tropical fruity hoppy, mango, pineapple aroma. Fairly juicy, mango, orange fruity, spicy yeasty, big bright herbal hoppy flavor with a touch of bubblegum. Pretty tasty. jcwattsrugger (12517) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - NOV 14, 2013

Draught @ Harpoon: This one pours a hazy, golden color. There was a bit of a frothy white head on it. It left some lacing. The nose is pine, pine and more pine. Nothing else. The taste is bitter pine hops. Wondering where the Belgian beer in the name went: it is completely overwhelmed by the hops. This isn’t very well executed. I would have expected some of the Belgian characteristics of the base beer to come through. I might as well had a glass of hops to drink. Also: at $8 for a small glass at the brewery it is very overpriced. demitriustown (1192) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - SEP 14, 2013
Bomber: I wanted to get a more "epic" beer for my 1000th but hey what the hell. Aroma has got a nice pine hops note with a yeasty Belgian note that pokes through and the orange and coriander within. Appearance is a cloudy golden with a hint of orange and a thick fluffy white head that lingers. Taste is hoppy with definite Belgian overtones. Overall, Pretty good. I would order it at a good bar. Cheers! Chudwick (3332) - Taylor Mill, Kentucky, USA - SEP 13, 2013
My 1000th American rating. Bomber - pours hazy orange with small white head and spotty lacing. Nose is citrus fruit of tropical type. Sip introduces more citrus and yeastiness with a little spice. Tangy and bitter. Medium body. Caramel backbone. Lemon peel finish. FROTHINGSLOSH (8069) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 2, 2013
Sampled on draft at Dad’s Pub & Grub this beer poured a dark amber color with a medium sized fluffy yellow-white head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was crisp fruity and perfumey hops. The flavor was tart and tangy with crisp fruity and floral hops and bread dough. Medium length tart crisp fruity and perfumey hops. Light to medium body. Ok. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 15, 2013
