12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear gold with a medium sized creamy white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of grain and lemony citrus hops. The taste is grain, citrus and a bit of grass. Medium bodied.

From my brother: Pours a golden colour with a white head. Aroma is of of grassy hops, with a tad of a malt backbone. Taste is crisp and doesn’t have that annoying sweet aspect that some Bohemian Pilseners have. Nice amount of bitterness form the Czech hop varietals. Refreshing and in my opinion well-balanced. I think that this is under-rated.

Bohemian Pilsner pours a clear golden color. The head is short and very white, fades fast. The taste is malty up front and the finish is dry and crisp. There is a sourness in the aftertaste.

Pilsner isn’t always my first choice but I wanted to try this seasonal beer from Harpoon. It was as advertised: clean and crisp. It was a little more hoppy than I expected but it was quite nice on a hot and humid summer night.

FROTHINGSLOSH (7929) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 1, 2011
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a clear yellow-gold color with a huge foamy white head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was crisp and bitter grassy, floral and perfumey hops. The flavor was tangy, tart and perfumey with notes of Sweettart candies and artificial sugar. The finish was long, tart and bitter with lingering artificial sugar. Light body. Eh.

355 ml bottle. From Windsor, VT.
Clear pale golden colour with almost no head. Skunky hops in aroma. Somewhere between Mexican Lager (Sol/Corona) and Czech Pilsener. Quite sweet malt, skunky hops and urine in flavour. I’m not dying for this.

Poured like a pale larger, I think the style is closer to a pale larger as well. Overall, not bad, somewhat watered down. The brew gives hints of hop bitterness, not a well balanced micro. A decent tasting brew for the summer months.

BREWMUSKCLES (2720) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 8, 2011
A nice semi bright semi mellow lightish pilsener reflective of a different influence. hop character somewhat German but mainly recessed. Buffered alka seltzer carbonation smoothed out and with a touch of astringency. Some pale malt and light sweetness with a touch of lemony fruit and some added body.

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2011 Hops forward, but whatever these hops are (Czech Saaz, according to the description on the RB page), I don’t think I really care for them. Kind of astringent without the piney or citrusy or spicy notes that I usually appreciate in hops, The malt is drowned out -- I get the feeling it’s just straight pale malt, which doesn’t stand up to the hops here. Not horrible, but there are a lot of better choices in this price range when it comes to craft lagers, and, if push came to shove, I think I’d prefer a Budweiser more than this thing (In part because it’d cost less, but that’s not the only reason).

Very light golden pour with a small white head. Almost no aroma, a little bit of hops. Crisp flavor with a nice hoppy bite, considerably more interesting than the aroma. Nice light summer session beer.
