12oz Bottle, purchased at People’s Liquor Warehouse - Warwick, RI as part of the Summer Vacation Mix 12 Pack. Aroma is a light snap of green hops. Flavors are kind of all over the place and watered down. For a Bohemian Pils, this is a pretty good Pale lager. The hop bitterness is there, but the flavor isn’t. I’m getting a lot of soft, soapiness, and a bit of an odd, almost five-spice-like character. I wanted something a little drier, a little crisper, and a little snappier.

Bottle: The aroma consists of light honey, grass, and a touch of grain. It pours transparent gold with a one finger head that fades to a thick film. The flavor starts with with some light honey and a touch of citrus. The finish has some light grass and a touch of floral notes. Light bodied with soft carbonation and somewhat soft mouthfeel.

Nephilium (1821) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - JUN 5, 2011
This starts with a mild earthy hop aroma, and pours a clear pale yellow, with just a dusting of head. There’s a nice clean taste with a touch of hops. Light on the palate, and easy drinking. This is a good beer for a hot summer day.

Bottle sample at the Harpoon tasting at Blacklick Wine & Spirits on 5/26/11. Clear yellow pour with a thick white head. Dank malt aroma with crisp hops. Malty flavor with kind of an odd creamy character before a bitter finish. Not quite as bitter as I would have expected for the style.

Brand new in a bottle at my local bottle shop; that beer store in moon is certainly an intersting place. Has a unigue bready yeast with dull pine hop olfactory. Looks like pale lager in the glass. Decent overall lager flavors with a medium mild pilsner bite. Some citrus shines thru. Decent co2 males this a little more zesty than I predicted. Comes across rather fresh. Some hop pilsner bitterness begins to build on the palate as the session continues. Yes, mild to medium bitterness begins to take over halfway thru the bottle. Not bad overall, good way to get a pilsner hop bite without going over the top. Medium bitter linger for a finsh.

A - Pours a clear golden yellow color with a finger of frothy white head atop. The head fades slowly down to a thin layer leaving behind some nice lacing in the process. S - Aroma is a mix of lemon and wheat. Some light citrus hop and a touch of sweet malt also mixed in as well. T - Starts off with some light lemon flavor with a touch of sourness and a bit of wheat flavor. There is just a touch of citrus hop and sweet fruit as well. Through the middle, some bitterness and some bready malt flavor comes through. The finish is a mix of bready malt flavor and a touch of bitterness and lemon flavor that lingers. M - Medium-light bodied with moderate lively carbonation. Feels really crisp and smooth and only a touch watery. The finish is nice and fairly clean. D - Very drinkable. Super smooth and really refreshing. The flavors really mix and meld together nicely. It could use a touch more of a kick in the flavor, but overall what is there is solid.

Bohemian Pilsner from 12 oz. bottle. Crisp and refreshing aroma and taste.pale yellow color with a fruity taste. Mild yellow color. Nice brew, it was part of mixed Harpoon 12-pack.Not sure if it’s the same one as pictured.

Meh....an average attempt at the style. Aroma was a little on the weak side. A slight graininess with light pilsner malt and a hint of grass. Pour was a nice swirling light gold with plenty of rising bubbles and a one finger white head. Taste was a little weak. Lemongrass, light malt and a slight yeasty bite. Medium carbonation. A little watery. Very little hops to speak of. Not undrinkable but would not buy again
