Dark, almost opaque color, small steady beige head. Aroma has strong chocolate and mud cake. Medium-bodied. Dark chocolaty flavor too, mudcake, toasted maltyness. I am not a big fan of these "chocolate beers which taste only chocolate" but well-brewed. Sweet stout with lots of sweetness and low bitterness.
Bottle. Pours black with brown head. Nose and taste of stale chocolate Easter bunnies and roasted malts with some vanilla extract. DSG (14784) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - MAR 31, 2013
Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Tom. Dark brown to black with a bit of light brown foam. Lovely powerful chocolate spread aroma. Sweetish roasty flavor with chocolate, a bit of coffee, light acidity and a drier and slightly bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Decent, but the flavor doesn’t match the great aroma.
