Bottle: pours a transparent deep amber with ruby hues and a stringy-lacing white head. Has a lightly sweet biscuity malty nose with some light fruity notes and a touch of tartness. Starts with decent fullness and pale malty sweetness with a good cranberry tart balance before a drier doughy finish. A pretty true to style and drinkable brew. 12 ounce bottle from State Line Liquors. Pours a clear rust color with a large fizzy tan head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma of cranberry, pomegranate and grainy malts. The taste is cranberries, cherries, faint bready malts and a faint bit of roast character. Bitter earthy hops. Medium bodied. ROGUE (2215) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - FEB 24, 2011
12oz bottle. Pours a deep copper amber color with a one finger slightly creamy head. Nose is light hops and fruit. Tastes like mild tart cranberry with malty toasty notes dominating and a semi-sweet finish. Light to medium in body with ample carbonation. rampmaster (642) - Alden, New York, USA - JAN 31, 2011
Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a pint glass. The label has a freshness date ("Best By" 01/15/11) and a description of the beer. It also mentions that Harpoon supports there local foodbanks from the sale of this beer.
Appearance: The body has a reddish copper color with good clarity and a quick fading light off white head. Lacing is minimal and slick.
Smell: The aroma has light scent with a mix of sweet/tart malts and cranberry.
Taste/Palate: The flavor reflects the scent with a light to medium bodied malt sweetness with notes of caramel, sweet bread and pie crust. This is offset by light cranberry tartness and faint hop bitterness. Carbonation is light and the palate is a little sticky.
Notes: For me this is just a good average beer. It’s not a stand out but it is more balanced then Samuel Adams Cranberry Lambic. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 4, 2010
12oz. Bottle: Aroma of cranberry, malt, and caramel, Earth, and a hint of vomit. Poured deep amber/copper in color with a small to medium-sized, creamy, dense, tan head that diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Sparkling to very sparkling. Flavor is slightly sweet. Tastes of malt, and a hint of cranberry. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Malt finish. Pretty gross.

UPDATED: DEC 5, 2010 Bottle split with Andrew, Streets and Ryan. Pours a murky brown body with thin lacing. Aroma is cranberry, yeast, and a strong malt back bone. BeerFanDan17 (1122) - Brunswick, Maine, USA - NOV 28, 2010
Sampled at the brewery in Boston. Cranberry Harpoon Helps... rich maltiness... very "scotch-like." damzz (512) - Massachusetts, USA - NOV 24, 2010
UPDATED: DEC 21, 2010 Appearance is brownish and slightly red. The aroma is weak with a slight hint of fruit. Lacing is Sheets that disappear quickly as does the off-white head. Carbonation remains throughtout the drink and is mildly fizzy. While slight, cranberry is obvious in the taste. Frankly, I miss Sam Adams Cranberry Lambic, which was taken out of the Winter Classics. Oh, well, they did not ask me. FunkyBrewster (1518) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 24, 2010
12oz bottle. Pours a surprisingly deep golden brown with a small creamy off white head. Aroma is mostly soft malt graininess with some notes of cranberry, quite sweet. Flavor starts subdued sweet, again mostly just a soft creamy malt note, a bit of a candyish cranberry note, not the slightest tart or sharp. Finishes a bit grainy but not terrible, just a bit bland. Medium body and a sharper carbonation. Not wholly unpleasant but nothing too grand, just not much going on.
