½ Pint Cask split by two with SinH4 @ Waterloo Tap. Happy B-Day! Golden, creamy white. Nose is doughy grain, old cereal, soap, smells like an old IPA. Taste is weak old grainy sugar, mellow IPA, herbal, hay,… Stale grain bodied. Man this is weak, weak I say.

Tap. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is old hops, toasted malts. Taste is piney, old hops, resinous, toasted malts, toffee. Low carbonation, oily mouthfeel. Not good.

Bottle from Asda. Distinctly average. Did someone else just say that? Rainwater barrel, with some orange zest soap. Wishy and indeed washy.

Pours slightly red with a small white head. Aroma is lightly herbal. Taste is little sweet, little bitter with notes of caramel, a little malt, a crisp lager like finish and a little hop bitterness with little character. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. An Intro IPA if ever I've had one. I went on vacation to Maine and Massachusetts and kept seeing this beer alongside the big guys. That should have been the hint I needed. I gave it a try and was disappointed.

Bottlen picked up on vacation, in Birmingham, Alabama. Cheers! to memories!

Pours a golden color. Clear. About one finger white head. Good retention, good lacing.

Aroma is very malty. Smells sweet. Light citrus, floral. Light pine. Wet cat.

Taste is caramel malt. Sweet, malty. Hoppy, but not in a bittering way. Floral and tropical. Pretty mild.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied. Smooth, mellow. Semi dry. Pretty crisp. Mouthfeel is high.

Overall, it’s okay. It’s mild for an IPA. It’s good for a noob to IPAs or craft beers, but not one I’d buy it again.

On tap at Yankee Lobster down the street from the Harpoon Brewery, tasted commercial which people tell me is malt, I didn’t get much IPA in this one. Might want to hit this one with a few spices or perhaps a hop or two.

Deep gold. Aroma - grainy grassy hops. Taste - caramel malt base with some grassy earthy and slightly spicy hops. A touch of fruitiness that lends a bit of sweet to it. Low bitterness for an IPA but easy drinking. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
