Hey, what happened here? I had this on tap in boston and thought it was great. Anyway, pours v. light yellow, head diminishes to traces but strangely gives good lacing. Bright, clear and copper in a shaker glass. Not getting any IPA aroma. Really close to watery mouthfeel. Flavors are light but somewhat interesting. Lots of butterscotch. Some tinny macro overtones. No proper IPA bitterness in the back. Ghandi would have been a shoe salesman if the British tried to survive on this one.

Bottle. Fizzy, decent head. Copper and clear. Floral aroma with some caramel thrown in for good measure, but its in the background. Its a bit watery and thin. Hop flavor is barely there. It almost tastes chalky. All in all, its uninspired and average at best

Tap at Andys. Poured orange with decent head. Aroma of hops and malts. the flavor was ok, not an amazing hop kick, pleasant and enjoyable. Although ight in the mouth feel and finish.

One of the two standards, in my book, for American IPAs (the other being Sierra Nevada). Floral and hoppy aroma from a dull straw color. Good hoppy bite upon first tasting. I actually prefer this beer a few degrees above room temp, as I think more hop flavors appear. All in all, a well deserved staple pull at most NE pubs.

Orange coloured. Very dissapointing. It is weak and thin. The aroma and the flavour are not hoppy. It has unpleasant fishy notes.

This is a decent IPA. Not fantastic, but a good hearty flavor, good appearance, a well done beer overall.

standard east coast american IPA. Deep copper/light amber with a fading head. Aroma is balanced with hops and malt. Some spice/ herbal and fruity hops in the aroma and flavor. Good solid malt backbone. Somewhat minerally in the finish though.

12 oz. bottle. Aroma is citrus and piney. Light copper color, slightly cloudy, with small off-white head that didnt last too long. Taste starts sweet, turns to a good, clean bitter, and finishes with floral notes. Somewhat bitter aftertaste. Medium body with just about the right carbonation. Overall, a good, solid IPA.

12oz bottle. Decent white head with some lacing left on the side of the glass. Just the right amount of carbonation. Floral, grapefruit, and pine on the nose. Really nice piney scent from the hops. The taste is where this beer really comes through. Very smooth and well balanced with a perfect amount of bitterness for an IPA. There is some room for improvement here, but I couldnt tell you where. Very good, one I will buy again.
