Im not big on IPAs, but this offering from Harpoon is refreshing. Very hoppy but without the bite that many IPAs bring to the table, its a great beer to sit back and enjoy.

light floral hops taste and smell, with a nice malt backbone, not very complicated, an English style ipa i would assume with the amount of hops present..very smooth refreshing taste with the abv well hidden..overall this was nice to try, but nothing special, it doesnt really stand out and say buy me again..

From bottle... poured cloudy orange with some sediment. Aroma was a light citrus. Flavor was very underwhelming... watery and weak. Smooth but no bite. Disappointing for an IPA, but still decent enough to enjoy.

Bottle. Very light amber; clear. Mildly bitter on palate. Not very hoppy. Smells like a pilsner. A very light ipa.

From a 12 oz bottle. Poured gold with a medium white head. Smell was strongly of earth and a little bit of hops. For an IPA, there wasnt much hop character to it, but it was still pretty solid. Id probably buy it again if I had the chance.

This is good stuff. Ive begun to like Indian Pale Ales, and this is as good as any other. One of Harpoons better brews.

Pours orange/brass. Has an incredible hoppy taste that adds to the various spices that are in the aroma. When I opened the bottle the entire room smelled like hops.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2007 Bottle, from mug. Bottled Oct 06, sampled Jan 07. Frothy white head, decent lacing, pale amber body. Strong apricot aroma, very fruity and floral. Medium-full with an oily texture. Flavor is all hops, which is fine by me. Finishes bitter and fairly long. The hops and alcohol produce a beautiful earthy vapor in the sinuses. A solid American IPA.

I drank this one about a week ago (probably the third time I had it) and I dont ever wait this long before reviewing a beer, but I dont care to buy it again, so please forgive me my lack of details. This is just a very weak and watery IPA. There is a slight hop presence and nothing more. I can name a few pilsners off the top of my head with a more pronounced hop flavor. Its not a terrible beer, but not good enough even to recommend to an amateur IPA drinker. Its so thin it might just turn them off of the style.

This beer pours a light gold color with a moderate head and a little lacing on the glass. The aroma has some fruits in it and some spices as well. The taste was fairly smooth, but not very hoppy. The carbonation is evident in the flavor. Decent beer.
