Keg at A back-alley boozer in Mayfair. It pours clear amber with a substantial off-white head. The aroma is pretty pleasant - sweet, sticky, juicy, plenty of orange marmalade, peach and some pine on the back-end. The taste is bitter - sweet, pine, toasted grain, some grass, orange marmalade, toffee and a touch of spice with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. I imagine this was pretty stand-out beer back in the day, but in 2016 it is pretty damn average. Remains drinkable. Tmoney99 (14381) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 20, 2005
Draft. Drinkable brew with average aroma, flavor and short hop finish. Refreshing but not distinct. djd07 (14369) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAR 19, 2009
Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden with a medium frothy white head that leaves sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is floral hops with citrus and orange peel. The taste is a crisp hop with grapefruit and a nice bitter finish. Easy to drink, a good IPA from Harpoon. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 7, 2003
Clear golden body topped by a medium beige head. Aroma is floral, peach and grapefruit. Taste is floral, earthy and light peach. Finish is earthy/floral. Medium body. English-style, pleasant beer. Lubiere (13796) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 13, 2009
A golden IPA with a thick receeding white head. In aroma, a nice floral hops, pinous, and classy. In mouth, a rather crisp and British rendition, with biscuitty malts, good floral hops, not overpowering. A nice entry level IPA. On tap at Harpoon Tap House, Logan Airport, Nov. 11 2009.

Cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma is floral, grapefruit, orange peel, peach and grass with a little caramelly malt. Sweetish with a decent hopflavour and bitterness. Nothing special BeerandBlues2 (13216) - Escondido, California, USA - JUL 31, 2004
Red with a white head. Hoppy and bitter aroma. Bitter and biting flavor. Very active palate, fizzy. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - OCT 23, 2003
(Draught) Descent tasting IPA pours a cooper color with a thin white head. Dogbrick (12936) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - AUG 5, 2003
Sampled at From The Vine monthly beer tasting Aug 4th, 2003: Pours a dark amber color with a tiny white head. Decent lacing as well. The aroma is a really pleasant concoction of hops and fruit. Medium-bodied, and the flavor is surprisingly subdued given the strong aroma. There is a fair amount of malt in the flavor as well. Maybe it is the hop-heavy IPAs like Ruination, Buckeye '76 et al that are to blame but I like a higher level of hops than this beer offers, both in the flavor and in the finish. A decent beer nonetheless.
