Decent. Should be a bit hoppier to truly be an IPA. Seems more like a high-end Pale Ale.

Drinkable but otherwise unremarkable. Smells like, pours like, looks like and tastes like a straight up undistinguished IPA that in a blind taste taste you would assume was pumped out by a macro, non-craft brewer. LED40 (124) - Aberdeen, SCOTLAND - DEC 24, 2017
UPDATED: DEC 26, 2017 12 fl oz bottle on Xmas Eve. Pours hazy golden with a thick fluffy white head that sticks to the side of the glass with a medium carbonation. On the aroma I'm instantly hit with notes of freshly cut grass and grapefruit juice. The taste is quite rich and slightly chewy with a hop forward backbone and slightly tart finish. The palate is rich and velvety. Overall, this is a very good representation of the style and while not outstanding is one that I would return to.

This was the first IPA that most New Englanders ever tried. Considering how far the style has come, Harpoon's offering now seems dated and mundane. Still it has a solid body and a crisp hop taste. A good beer. Bill Becker (2050) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - OCT 31, 2017

Yet another sample that I got in a trade with Wasatch. Thanks John!
This pours from 12oz bottle(best by 10-10-07) a clear light gold with a 1 finger head of foam that recedes slightly but remains as a solid fine layer right to the end of the session.
The smell is of grapefruit and a touch of malt but it's pretty light on the nose.
The taste is pretty light also but I get some nice hop *and* malt flavours. The hops are mostly grapefruit but the malt moves in quickly to balance out what bitterness the hops injected. This is a *very* balanced IPA that is smooth drinking, medium bodied, medium in carbonation, and it finishes slightly citrusy.
Bottom line: This kind of reminds me of a English Style IPA in that the malt character doesn't just make an appearance, it shares equal billing with the hops. It's a very balanced brew and easy to drink. I like it.
