Bottled. A red-brown beer with a thin tan head - not really the look of a Baltic Porter. The aroma has notes of sweet and roasted malt as well as well some caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and alcohol, the latter burning lightly on the tongue. joergen (29624) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 16, 2011

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of RCL. Pours a dark brown with a warm orange hue with a beige head. Sweet hard roast and a little tar in the nose. Solid body, hard roast malts, vanilla and licorice again with a slight touch of tar and smoke. Some malt astringency. 150311 harrisoni (19553) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 14, 2010
Bottle at Chriso’ Blue Mountains of Virginia tasting. My notes say that MadMitch76 and I didn’t agree on this beer, but our scores aren’t a million miles apart. Very very deep ruby colour. Mostly choc and malt on aroma. Good in the body. Rather lovely brokensail (16689) - Dublin, California, USA - MAR 31, 2012
Dark brown in color with a short lived off-white head. Nice nose on this. Dark chocolate and fruit give a pleasant balanced sweetness. A bit of roasted malt and a touch of spice. The flavor offers a nice chocolate character and a touch of roast. Dark fruits, especially raisins and plums, and a touch of spice. Just a touch of roast to give some bitterness. bhensonb (15976) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 3, 2010
Bottle from ericandersnavy. Kudos on getting me another rare beer! Pours very dark brown (Sam Adams glass) with a clingy 4 finger frothy beige/tan head. Smells like a chocolate fruit bomb. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is like chocolate anise with some coffee and dark fruit. The bitter is like unsweetened cacao powder. It finishes dry and a little astringent. Quite a change from those sticky BPs. (not a gulf reference)
