My bottle [12oz] shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus. Pours a cloudy orange-amber with a snowstorm of sediment and a small diminishing frothy white head. Aroma of caramel malt, somewhat bready, along with floral hops, dark fruit and a bit of alcohol. Fruity flavour (grapes, apples and more) along with bready malt, alcohol, floral hops and a bitter, boozy finish, almost harsh. Medium bodied. Quite good but I’m glad I shared it, it’s a bit boozy and harsh -- I liked it though.

12oz bottle shared by blankboy with me and garthicus. Deep copper-amber pour, smallish diminishing off-white head, tons of tiny floaties. Sweet pungent boozy aroma, sharp cereal grain. Taste follows, but weirdly it works- and a lot of fruit. Light, slick mouthfeel, a bit hot and dry with dry floral bitterness and drying alcohol in the finish. garthicus (2929) - Dublin, IRELAND - MAY 23, 2012
Thanks to Blankboy. Appearance: Ruby red, thick off white head. Aroma: Sandalwood, malty, good amount of hops, super spicy, cloves, vanilla, lemon. Flavour: Spicy, alcohol, malt, slightly metallic, toasty, slightly medicinal, long bitter alcoholic finish. RoyceH (1199) - Hesperange, LUXEMBOURG - MAY 21, 2012
Tap at rattle & hum. Ruby with a thin off-white head. Nose is interesting, spicy, coriander, malt. Mouth is warm, dusty, warm, sweetness, but red wine characteristics and oak comes through the more the flavour progresses. This beer has benefited being laid down. End is vanilla, red wine, enjoyable, good.

Aroma solid, clean malts , caramel , rich fee;/ Nice hop top end. Balanced pleasing set up. 8-.
Appearance clear amber with medium top.
Flavor and Palate : full bodied. malty with caramel side . Alcohol warmth. Very true to the style. Not too bold, not too hoppy. Proper example of American Barley Wine.
Bottle shared with the team at work on our last day on madison ave. Pours a clear amber orange body. Aroma is sweet caramel malts, barley and sweet booze. Mouthfeel is slick with notes of booze and sweet malts. The beer seems to be a bit unbalanced. Mat42m (160) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - APR 10, 2012
From bottle served in snifter. Slight semi sweet, fruity aroma. Fairly hazy, amber color with minimal head. Very bitter taste. Fairly strong bitter finish with a medium body. Overall not really my favorite beer. Too hoppy without much other flavors coming through. bth122 (1554) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 30, 2012
Bottle, poured a copper red color with smaller head that dissipated a bit. Aroma is malt, hop, dark fruit, candy flavored. Med-lite sweetness and bitterness. Malty backbone with a bit of bitterness finish. Not bad, but there is better barley wines out there for sure. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - MAR 16, 2012
On bottle at gavins. Really sweet brew here. Not sure if I’m a fan. Big barley flavors Ratman197 (14826) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - MAR 1, 2012
