COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our interpretation of this English style ale is deep garnet red in color with a distinct malt backbone balanced by a unique blend of hops. Cheers!

Smells like sweetened strawberry shortcake laying out in a flower patch to ferment. Pours without much lacing and some soapy bubbles. Taste of alcohol is strong, barley bitterness present but not overbearing. Some of the caky sweetness in the smell carries through to the aftertaste. Better than some of the mediocre offerings Ive had from this brewery but it doesnt go much further than that. Bottle from Lebanon Health Food store, NH.

Bottle shared with the team at work on our last day on madison ave. Pours a clear amber orange body. Aroma is sweet caramel malts, barley and sweet booze. Mouthfeel is slick with notes of booze and sweet malts. The beer seems to be a bit unbalanced.

12oz bottle pours a hazy, burnt orange with some creamy, white head. Nose is kind of trashy, dried orange, malt, toast, cardboard. Flavor is malty, orange, cardboard, a little herbs, some trash. I think its just too damn old.

My bottle [12oz] shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus. Pours a cloudy orange-amber with a snowstorm of sediment and a small diminishing frothy white head. Aroma of caramel malt, somewhat bready, along with floral hops, dark fruit and a bit of alcohol. Fruity flavour (grapes, apples and more) along with bready malt, alcohol, floral hops and a bitter, boozy finish, almost harsh. Medium bodied. Quite good but Im glad I shared it, its a bit boozy and harsh -- I liked it though. -- Rated via Beer Buddy.

Aroma solid, clean malts , caramel , rich fee;/ Nice hop top end. Balanced pleasing set up. 8-.
Appearance clear amber with medium top.
Flavor and Palate : full bodied. malty with caramel side . Alcohol warmth. Very true to the style. Not too bold, not too hoppy. Proper example of American Barley Wine.

Bottle:   Deep amber, fiery copper hue, thin to moderate tannish head, spotty lacing.   Sweet bready nose, slightly bananaish, touch of band-aid albeit its minor.   Almost a sweetish cherry or fruity cough syrup.   Citrusy, a little band-aid and plastic like on the back.   Smooth mouthfeel, moderate body.   Sweet finish, makes up for the band-aid and slight plastic.   Still was enjoyable.   Thanks Keith!

12 oz. bottle, pored into snifter. Pours a dark reddish amber in color with a small off white head that produced some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma smells like sweet, white grape. Flavor mirrors the aroma and the booze burn is not so bad. Finishes dry and sweet. All the flavors of a great barleywine are there, but maybe a bit young and I bet this would cellar well. A god one to sip. One of the better barleywines I have sampled.

12oz bottle shared by blankboy with me and garthicus. Deep copper-amber pour, smallish diminishing off-white head, tons of tiny floaties. Sweet pungent boozy aroma, sharp cereal grain. Taste follows, but weirdly it works- and a lot of fruit. Light, slick mouthfeel, a bit hot and dry with dry floral bitterness and drying alcohol in the finish.
