Tasting – Wine Source. Gold, creamy white head. Sweet toasted corn and grassy-grain aromas warm to softer hints of earthed bread and citrus throughout. Toasted and lightly sweetened caramel flavors round with a cornbread and kiss of floral hop finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light bittersweet and bready finish. As I really enjoy the Imperial Pilsner style, this one falls somewhere in the middle class… RCL (2032) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - JUL 31, 2009
The first batch I had of this I think had some DMS issues but they appear to have cleaned it up with the latest batch. Intense grassy aroma with hints of hard cheese. Flavor is solidly hoppy with the high ABV fairly well integrated. SuIIy (1984) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - JUN 20, 2009
12 oz bottle. pours a clear golden color with a small off white head. Nose is corn, light malty syrupy notes. Palate is corny and syrupy. Flavor is corny and syrupy with some light corn and hops flavor jstraw (1967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 6, 2009
Gold with good, creamy white head / Big nose of honey, grain, and orange / Medium to full body, somewhat sweet and syrupy, with big malts and good, dry, albeit hot finish / Flavors of grain, grass, and clover honey / A little too big and syrupy, without enough fruit to support the malt and alcohol. yobdoog (1888) - Kingston, New York, USA - JUN 1, 2009
Bottle by mdlovullo. Light clear golden yellow color with a light haze. Malty and sweet and not dead on for a pils but pretty tasty. Balanced pine and citrus with sweet caramel malt and a slight alcohol burn.

Bottle. Pours gold, with a white head. Aroma is malt, hops, and grain. Flavor is malt, hops, fruit, grain, and some alcohol. Crisp finish. This tastes more like a pilsner than I thought it would for being 9%. Might need to get more of this. DerWeg (1750) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 27, 2009
Not so big, nor all that Bohemian. Hot Triple character, spicy, some bright top hops. jsmerig (1725) - Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 27, 2011
Pours a bright yellow-gold with lively carbonation. Big aroma of pilsner malts and hops. Taste is malty sweet with a sharp bite in the middle. Finished with a mellow residual sweetness. Hides the alcohol very well. SanfordBrewer (1610) - Sanford, Florida, USA - OCT 20, 2010
Lucent gold, thin white head, medium-full body, medium carbonation.fredandboboflo (1570) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 31, 2009
Aroma: fruity floral hops.
Taste: lots of crackery pale malt, lots of mild vinous floral nobel hops, and a little bit of yeast.
Pleasant and nicely balanced. Big but simple. More a pairing beer than a sessional.
Bottle. Aroma of lemon, lightly grassy hops, biscuit malt, alcohol. Didn’t realize this was one of those imperial pils, so the alcohol seemed odd, though it makes sense now! Flavor was an onslaught of grainy complexity with hay, wheat, biscuit, french bread blending seamlessly with floral, earthy, grassy hop notes, quite lovely. Happy to break the 3.6 streak for this one.
