Tasted at Pony Bar Harpoon tap takeover. Tastes almost like a rye ipa, very complex yet smooth finish. Drake (13662) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 10, 2012
12 ounce bottle from Nikkiís Liquors. Pours a clear copper color with a large frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of toffee and caramel malts with herbal and resin hops. The taste is citrus and resin hops, some earthiness, and toffee malts. Medium bodied and refreshing. Nice. thechandler (593) - Charleston, West Virginia, USA - SEP 23, 2012
Pours a hazy amber with a light fizzy head. Aroma is just slightly citrusy. Flavor is WOW. Not what I expected at all. American Strong Ale? More like Imperial IPA. Hoppy citrus, lemongrass...very floral. Beautiful. thornecb (5883) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 2, 2012
Pours light mahogany into a snifter. White head receded to hug rim. Dark caramel and resin aromas. Medium bodied and dry with dark toffee and molaases upfront turning to bitter resin on the lasting earthy finish. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - AUG 22, 2012
Draft. Ruby brown pour with some tan head. Some fresh spices, grassy and herbal hop aromas. Fresh grassy, citrus, and spicy hop flavor with some sweet malts.

Pretty decent hopped up high alcohol content beer. Kind of a harsh taste/ bitterness but not undrinkable. halfonit (1356) - Fall River, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 8, 2012
On tap at Battleship. Pours a clear deep amber color with a thick white head. Aroma is full of hops and grapefruit up front with some leather and orange. Flavor is an explosion of grapefruit, hops and citrus. Thereís also a little dough and grain in the back end. Leaves a hoppy citrus finish. Good stuff here. jkwood04 (5448) - Connecticut, USA - OCT 2, 2012
12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours copper with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of citrusy and bitter hops plus some caramel and lightly toasted malts. Flavor the same. Smooth to thicker texture. A pretty good beer. McGarnigle (650) - Rochester, New York, USA - JAN 10, 2013
4-pack. Good, strong IPA. American hop flavor, but a little different from the usual three Cís. Still some mix of citrus and floral. Kind of a red-orange color, ad it tastes like it. Itís funny that the brewery downplays the malt (the brewery site says "very little malt flavor"). That goes too far, though of course this isnít a doppelbock. Itís a tasty strong IPA. mansquito (6338) - Nueva York, New York, USA - JAN 15, 2013
New Beer Distributors, NY 12oz ($3): Pours a reddish color with a nice looking head. Aroma is a load of citrus hops, some strange yeastiness, and some very particular maltiness. Taste is rather bitter, especially towards the finish where there is a dry bitter bite. However, there is plenty of malt backbone as well. Aftertaste is bitter and a little bit sweet, but there is much less sweetness in the normal taste of this here ale. Interesting and pretty good.
