Hazy , yellow color . Yeast , banana and citrus in aroma. Wheat , citrus and some hoppy bitterness in taste. Very simple ,however, Strange brew , not easy to classify ). CousinBrenden (131) - St Louis, Missouri, USA - APR 14, 2015
Aroma OK taste bandaid and phenolics. Hazy aa it should be. Flavor is off. Jabah (484) - Winter Park, Florida, USA - APR 10, 2015
I wasn’t too impressed with this being a microbrew and all. It’s basically an average wheat beer at best. Not much color (a light golden yellow), not much flavor. A little bit cloudy but thin and semi-clear. This was the first time I bought Harpoon, so not the best first impression. superspak (5587) - Michigan, USA - MAR 9, 2015
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 1/15/2015. Pours hazy deep golden color with a 1 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, banana, white grape, wheat, bread, light clove, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Okay aromas with solid balance of fruity/earthy yeast and bready malt notes; with decent strength. A bit too fruity/slightly metallic in the nose. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, banana, white grape, wheat, bread, herbal, grass, light clove, and yeast earthiness. Light yeast spice/wheat tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pear, apple, banana, white, grape, wheat, bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good balance and robustness of fruity/earthy yeast and bready malt flavors; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and fairly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this is a solid pale wheat ale style. All around good robustness and balance of fruity/earthy yeast and bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A pleasantly enjoyable offering. chinchill (4993) - South Carolina, USA - JAN 12, 2015
12 oz bottle served in pint glass [from notes].
Some sediment in bottle; added to glass. Give very mild aste, I recommend you give the bottle a swirl mid-pour to mix in the yeasty sediment and add flavor.
Wheat beer not a favorite category for this reviewer
A - moderately cloudy light yellow gold; white head with some staying power
S - very mild standard wit beer with no off-notes and faint fruity notes
T - very mild; "wit beer light". Taste is good but intensity should be higher. Nice balance of bitter, sweet and sour. Clean finish.
M - light, soft and fizzy (but not objectionably so)
D- easy and pleasant to drink. Very good for thirst quenching or to accompany mildly flavored foods; not bold or complex enough to hold interest as a sipper.

Not a strong hefeweizen. A light yellow hazy pour with white head. Taste and aroma are both a bit watered down with sweet citrus and pine and dry wheat/yeast taste. A somewhat dry aftertaste with some citrus. slowrunner77 (12040) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 24, 2014
"Definitely an American wheat and not a true hefe. Wheat, grain and citrus are the dominant players in the flavor and aroma. Pretty mediocre across the board - just didn’t do anything for me." 60minuteman (1714) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 1, 2014
This isn’t a hefe at all. Nor is it a Belgian. Wheat, citrus, yeast, grass, pine....light bodied and quick duration. Simple. micronaut129 (241) - chalfontborotowntonbergville, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 15, 2014
poured with a medium foam heady, cloudy in appearance and heavily carbonated. A yellow orange gold color.
A good banana clove scent can be smelled typical
Tasty malt charscter comes through nicely with nice yeasty finish.
Good head retention and lacing through out session.

Hefeweizen? More like weak sauce. Bad aroma, little in the way of expected hefe taste.
