[Bottle] Pours a deep amber hue with minimal head. Nose is of cinnamon, nutmeg and hints of anise. Taste is heavy on the spices. More cinnamon and some ginger mixes with caramel and bready malts. Lighter dark rum and brown sugar in the finish. Better balance compared to many beers of this style.

Clear mahogany pour with a nice off white head and nice lacing. Strong spice aroma with nuts and toffee in the background. Nutmeg is dominant in the flavor with cinnamon, caramel, and toast in there as well. Medium body.

I thought that this would have rated higher until I actually plugged in the numbers. Pours a bright copper color with a nice tan head. Strong cinnamon aroma with cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar flavors. Could be described as a cider-like ale. A decent substitute to 2X Xmas from southern tier.

Pours a clear amber color with. Diminishing head. Aroma of cinnamon and nutmeg and taste is the same. A nice beer for a cold winter day. A little less spice than ST 2xmas. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is predominantly cinnamon with just a touch of brown sugar and nutmeg. Pours a clear red with a thin off-white head. This is very cinnamon forward, overpowering the nutmeg and the hops. This is just a bit under being a cinnamon bomb, but thats the only flavor Im pulling out of it besides a little malt sweetness. Not bad, just a bit heavy handed with cinnamon

Underrated beer and one of my favorite winter beers. Pours a clear amber with light brown head. Has a strong aroma of spices and malts. Taste is strong with a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, hops, roasted malts, and caramel. A lingering taste of winter spices.

I enjoyed this. Nice spicy aroma of malt and cinnamon. Pretty copper color with nice clarity. Medium weight and carbonation. Flavor was mildly sweet with a decent hop balance and nice spices. Cinnamon and nutmeg. Good holiday beer.

12 oz bottle, poured into a shaker pint at room temperature. A: Pours into the glass a clear red-amber, not unlike the hue of a good Vienna lager, and forms a two finger head of pale tan froth which dies slowly down to a relatively thick cap. Lacing is briefly impressive, then falls right back down to the cap. S: Caramel and toffee malt, with heady notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice over the top. T: Exactly what the nose promises. The initial flavor is a somewhat bland caramel-toffee malt, which has a rush of cinnamon and nutmeg stampeding over it to become the whole of the flavor profile in the middle, before the spice recedes at the finish. Theres some carbonation sharpness in the middle as well, which seems to cut the malt, and a very faint, very flat wooden-leafy note. M: Watery and overcarbonated to the point of sharpness. O: While Im generally a malt fan, I am a fan of well-executed malt. This beer seems either simple but poorly integrated, or an attempt at being complex that did not quite gel. Its not terrible, but it is right around average.
