Keg @ Harriet. Slightly hazy medium gold pour with a strong white head. Jammy red fruits and a bit if dry erase marker. Wine barrel. Somewhat buggy. Taste is generally sweet. A bit of tangy acidity. Peach and red grape. A bit oily. Full body. Somewhat boozy. Decent stuff. islay (2867) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 7, 2014
8 oz. pour, on tap at the brewery’s taproom. Consumed on 12-3-14. Listed on the board as “Barrel Aged Divine Oculust” with the style listed as “Belgian Style Golden Strong Ale (Sour).” Listed on the website as “Sour Divine Oculust (Barrel Aged)” and the description says that it is aged in chardonnay barrels. Listed on the board as 9% ABV but on the website as 8.5% ABV. Pours a quite hazy, cloudy gold with a small amount of creamy, off-white head. Produces cool, fairly extensive, long-lasting lacing. Sweet and sour, floral smell features a crabapple scent. More tart than sour aroma, but notably so. The smell whets the appetite. Nice, tart, mineral, yeasty flavor. Some maltiness: yellow plum. Green apple and white wine flavors. Perhaps some Belgian candy sugar evident. Sharp and dry yet sweet taste. Interesting taste on which I am mixed but mostly positive. More tart than sour and with a dry finish. Dull, dry, tart to astringent aftertaste, but not a bad as that sounds. Medium to heavy body. Smooth and soft in the palate yet with grainy frothiness. Not the best sour I’ve had but far from the worst either and enjoyable across the board. radarsock (1204) - Massachusetts, USA - OCT 21, 2014
UPDATED: OCT 22, 2014 64 oz. growler picked up at the source and shipped to New England by Stine - many thanks! To oversized brandy snifter, it pours a clear tangerine orange with which a whitish-ringed head 1 finger in length stood. Aromas of green cardamom, whole cloves, citrus zest, Belgian yeast, duct tape, pottery clay, Bible paper, seaweed, young oak, and poultry seeds. Tastes the same with the addition of LME, black limes, beach sand, sweat, banana peels, aged hops, and peppermint. Estery and insanely drinkable. I like that it was easy-going in terms of flavor, but I could have done with a more memorable barrel character. mnmike (1086) - Minnesota, USA - APR 2, 2013
Sample at the good ole Winterfest 2013. Carbonation is high and the sourness of the chardonnay plays well against the Belgian aspects. JK (6240) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - FEB 10, 2013
Winterfest 2013.Good palate. Dry malt with floral hops and a flavor of white wine, but it is dry from the chardonnay barrel, and Divine Oculust is already a dry beer to begin with . Good beer.

Had on tap at Winterfest 2013. Has some sweet vinous scents with some barrel character. Taste is similar to a wine, decent. ryanfolty (2584) - Bourbon County, Minnesota, USA - FEB 3, 2013
On tap at Winterfest 2013. Cloudy yellow pour with some head. White wine, spicy, and floral in aroma and taste. Thanks to BVery for recommending this one. BVery (10716) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - JAN 25, 2013
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 Tap at the brewery. Bright hazy yellow pour wih a nice spotty white head. The Chardonnay really jumps out in this. Super tasty. Light and easy drinking, full flavored. Loving this beer!
