COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wodan Weizen is our interpretation of a classic German-style wheat beer with all MN grain. It pours a hazy straw color with a frothy white head. Pronounced notes of banana and clove are accompanied by subtle citrus and graham cracker maltiness. Floral hops hide deep in the background to make this a refreshing summer brew without the bitterness.

Draft sampler pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of malts, banana and grain. Taste is malts, yeast and wheat.

Tap at chipotlecultivate festival. In 12oz plastic cup. Hazy light orange with white head. Banana smell is very intense. Crisp and banana in taste . Some yeast, easy to drink. Could have used more body. Solid beer, wery good.

Light cloudy golden pour. Salt, lemon, dried tomato aroma. Silage, white pepper and minerals show the yeast, while gravel and soda cracker frame it.

Flavor brings some citrusy zip. Some clove, white bread, banana cream pie. Every flavor has a grayishness to it. Pleasing acidity throughout.

It is probably under carbonated. The body has a certain looseness to it, lacking the bright snappiness of other good examples. This might be a tap line issue (Acadia cafe).

Tap at Pizza Luce in a pint glass. A filtered copper with a small head. Taste has a backbone of malt almost like an Octoberfest but definitely the refreshing overall appeal of a hefeweizen. Some spice and fruit. Very crisp, clean finish. Another terrific offering from this local brewery.

Hazy yellow with lots of white head. Big banana aroma and noticeable wheat. The palate hits you with the fizz but it is soft and then feels light and a bit watery. Fine, but the people I was with were similarly underwhelmed. (on tap at Punch’s Pizza, St. Paul)

Tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy yellow, tons of banana on this one. Pretty solid beer overall.

Big banana nose. More pronounced banana and spices on the palate. Very refreshing beer.

Tap @ Harriet. Pours a hazy, light yellow appearance with a white head. Somewhat spicy, dull yeasty, bready, a bit fruity aroma. The flavor lets on to a more Belgian Witbier-like beer with notes of spicy yeast, orange citrus, and lemon. Ok but a bit soapy.

EHopper (620) - Minnesota, USA - JUL 21, 2012
Love a good Hefeweizen. This one had that great banana, holiday spice and bread dough quality in a bright and cloudy package that just works for me. The nice malty finish adds depth.

Tripplebrew (778) - Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA - JUL 6, 2012
Pours a hazy bright orange and gold with frothy whitead head that quickly dissipates. Aroam is a mix of banana, clove, pepper and baked sweet bread. Flavor is a mix of bnana almond, hawaiian bread. Body is balanced light yet creamy but with a lot of bright carbonation.
