COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed using Belgian Ale yeast makes this beer big, rich and full of fruitiness. Palate is rich and subtle malty. Full bodied sweetness dominates most of the palate but dies to a dryer finish with a herbal/phenol crisp hop bitterness.

Bottle - Amber with rapidly dissipating off white head. Medium Carbonation. Medium to full bodied. Sweet. Fruity (Touch of dark frut). A little yeasty. Touch of alcohol coming through. Slightly dry finish.

500ml bottle. Pours a hazy bright orange. Orange peel, coriander, lots of black pepper, lots of sugar, lots of yeast to the point of eggy brioche type stuff. Bit clumsy and overbearing.

Amber colour, thin head, not what I have come to expect from a ’tripel’. Spicy & fruity. Very drinkable and very enjoyable.

Bottle. Amber color, clear liquid, white head. Aroma of malt, oak, alcohol, whiskey, pilsener. Taste is light sour. Can be drunk, but as being sold as a tripel it is not what I have expected.

500 ml bottle. Pours an orange hued amber with a thin soapy white head. Aroma of oranges, straw, pepper, cantaloupe. Somewhat spicy and highly carbonated. Orange zest, coriander, white pepper, minimal yeast, pineapple. Some artificial tasting flavors and seem to fit as a BSA. But not bad in its own right.

Bardzo ciekawe piwo, mocne i drapiące podniebienie nie tylko od mocy ale w szczególności od różnorakich dodatków i przypraw. Ciężko przebrnąć przez więcej niż jedno ale warto spróbować.

jbeatty (1253) - New York, USA - NOV 11, 2014
Bottle, 11/8/2014. Labeled as ’The Belgium Tempest Saison’, but clearly not a saison. Pours dark amber/burnished copper, clear, a few wispy motes of foam on the surface, some lacing. Aroma is candied pear, peach, orange, doughy underones, some yeast. Taste is similar, almost syrupy fruit and malt notes, touch of vanilla, some spiciness with moderate herbal bitter finish. Medium body. Ok, but would not be the first tripel or saison I reach for.

Aroma is sweet and clovey. Flavor is full but mouthfeel is lacking body. Decent tripel but needs more yeast characteristic ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled. New Zealand holiday 2011-12. Old notes. The aroma has some malt sweetness, some yeast estery tones. Amber coloured beer with an off-white head. The taste is moderate bitter, bit alcoholic, somewhat fruity, has some spicy yeast going on. Quite some carbonation.

One of Harringtons better brews in my book. Has all the Belgian beer attributes and only lacks the subtlety/smoothness of the real thing.
